New treasures coming to Region 2 (Netherlands)

Post by Scabbie »

I just took a look at the releaselist of Disneyinfo.nl. And there I saw these three DVD's for March 15, 2006:

Walt Disney Treasures - The Chronological Donald - Volume Two
Walt Disney Treasures - The Complete Goofy
Walt Disney Treasures - The Complete Pluto - Volume One

Finally! The last Treasures here were released in August 2004.
Disney's musical Tarzan. Coming to Holland 2007.

Yay! Two treasures I've wanted to see released! :) Happy day for me. I'm still on the fence as to wether I should get Donald Duck (Volume I or II for that matter). The cheap price offering wil most likely win me over, but I'm still debating over it.

So it looks as though Goofy is coming. Phew. There's no need to spend $50-100 on E-Bay! I'm wondering if I should not get the Region 1 edition of Donald now it's coming to Region 2. What do you guys think? In any case, I'm not getting Pluto as I have a Region 1 copy! :P

So far, 3 of 4 are reported to have tins (MMINLC VI, DD-TCD VI, Silly Symphonies).

Yes. Read above sentence.
waltmad wrote:do you care if its in a tin?
No. :)
waltmad wrote:did you know r1 & r2 tins are slightly different sizes?
Yes I did.
waltmad wrote:could it come with a dented tin if it has one?
Of course. It's not as if the UK has some kind of protection against tins that the US hasn't heard of.
waltmad wrote:why am i obsessed with tins?
I dunno. Maybe you could tell us? :P

This is great news, I was considering getting the 4 current treasures, but was casting wishful glances at the region 1 pluto & goofy collections. But now..... :D
Joey: So, you're playing a little Playstation, huh? That's whack. Playstation is whack. 'Sup with the whack Playstation, 'sup? Huh? Come on, am I nineteen or what?
Chandler: Yes, on a scale from one to ten, ten being the dumbest a person can look, you are definitely nineteen.

The Dutch Treasures have been cancelled and they won't come out in the near future. Disney Netherlands confirmed this.
