Films you've seen opening day at the theaters!

Post by Timon/Pumbaa fan »

After seeing the amount of people have already seen Chicken Little, I was wondering if there were any movies you've seen on the opening day at the theaters! I don't usually see movies on opening days anymore, but I have done it a few times in the past:

Toy Story
101 Dalmatians(live-action )
A Bug's Life
Inspector Gadget
Toy Story 2
The Emperor's New Groove
Shrek
Men In Black 2
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Meet the Fockers

I almost saw Ice Age on opening day, but I remember I got in trouble so my punishment was that I had to wait until the 2nd day to see it! I also was going to see Revenge of the Sith and Doug's First Movie on opening day, but plans changed!

Sad how I can remember all this!

-Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (actually I went to the MIDNIGHT showing of this!)
-Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
-Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

and I WOULD HAVE seen Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring on opening day but I was performing in a concert for band, I was in 8th grade (I was so disappointed :( )

And I've probably seen more on opening day I just can't remember any off the top of my head right now lol
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I'm sure there's been many, but I can't remember which ones.
The one I do remember is going to see the second Lord of the Rings at midnight with an ex-boyfriend. Oh and I just remembered going to see the second or third Matrix at midnight also.

Spider-man was the only movie I have ever seen opening day and it sure was packed! Most movies I see are usually a week after opening day and a good portion are just the next day or two days after opening. (the Sunday usually)

I have never seen a movie on it's opening day. I figure it's because I hardly ever go to the movies.
When I do go it's always on Saturday for the matinee.

I've seen at least two on opening day.

Matrix Revolutions, which I saw at 12:00 pm (noon) and there was hardly anyone in the theatre, which kind of surprised me, but I figured most people were waiting for the night sesions (probably due to having to work or go to school or university, et cetera), but I didn't have any classs in the afternoon, so that was all good. I've forgotten what the other movie was (Spider-man 2 maybe???), but I went during the day seems it was the best time of the day for it.

I have seen 100's of films on opening day.
the last few have been:
Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith
Chicken Little
War of the Worlds

When I was single living in Atlanta I went almost every friday after work and saw 1 or 2 movies. I also have done a job to earn extra money where I go to the theater Fri-Sun and count people seeing a certin movie, but it has been about a year since I have done that.
I also went to the midnight showing of the First Batman when that came out, plus I have seen a few sneak peaks like Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

Wow, I go all the time on opening day to the movies. I just went to see Saw II actually at the first showing Thursday at midnight. I always go first day it seems since I can't go Saturdays & Sundays since I'm working all day.

The list is much too long, for I always try to catch the major releases on opening day.

All Six Star Wars Films
All Three Matrix Films
The Three Die Hard Movies
All of the Rocky Movies
All of the Star Trek movies
Just saw Chicken Little Friday afternoon.

My list would run ad-infinitim, so just about every title you can think of since 1950 I have seen on opening day. I love movies.

I've only even seen one film on it's opening day and that was Home on the Range. I'm usually put off by opening day because being a new movie it's usually packed, and I prefer to go a week or so later, because it's probably not as crowded and in the case of family movies, there aren't as many screaming kids to get you annoyed. The only reason I made an excpetion was that I was dying to see HotR!

I've seen very few on opening day. I prefer the more layed-back experience. Here's my modest list:
Batman Begins
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban
Matrix Revolution
Matrix Reloaded

I'll probably see Harry Potter IV and Narnia opening nights as well!

I feel lonely now.

The only two on my list are Red Eye and Flightplan.

However I hope to add Harry Potter and Narnia to the list.
Best Movies of 2009:

2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
