DisneyGuy has a new/sealed SW up for sale in the trade forum for $47 (pretty good price, IMO). He's an awesome seller- I bought a new/sealed PERFECT copy of Sleeping Beauty from him a while ago and was very happy with it.Pluto Region1 wrote:
So anyway, they also had a copy of the Platinum Edition Snow White and it looked in perfect condition (it says it is guaranteed) and they want like $35 for it but I was disappointed I did not find it new so I left it there. I am still holding out hope that I will find a brand new copy at some store here somewhere. Los Angeles is a big place with alot of stores so I think it is possible... I would be bummed to buy it used if I then found it new somewhere. For some reason the luster just isn't there if I have to buy it used. I don't know why. All my furniture is used (ok, vintage) and so are my 1950s appliances so why can't I get the same thrill out of a used DVD?
Is SW that rare and should I have purchased it?
yeah, I don't know why I care about having it be brand new. The box was not beat up or frayed. But I now have this weird thing about not wanting to break the plastic shrink wrap even on the Disney tins, like I want to go get extras so that I will always have a new unopened copy - kind of strange! Disney Guys price is reasonable if it is new. I've seen it elsewhere for $75....MinnieMe wrote:DisneyGuy has a new/sealed SW up for sale in the trade forum for $47 (pretty good price, IMO)..... I, however, would have picked up the "perfect copy" for $35. Before I started to buy used, I always thought "I have to have it new! I can't just give in and buy something SOMEONE ELSE has already watched!!" But then I realized something... as soon as I open it... it's used! So if it's in great condition, and "used" why not pick it up?
