I know that a DVD box set was released in France. Anyone have any news about us Americans getting a version ?

We haven't heard anything yet, maybe Disney will release Zorro in 2006. :)

I hope so. I loved the series when I would get to see it on Vault Disney. I would love a box set.

Emmm, I just like to establish something:

Please don't pronounce "Zoro"; ZoRRo (mind the double R please).

I bought the Disney zorro season 1 box set from a french DVD website, much like amazon. Priceminister.com or amazon.fr

The packaging may be in French, but I can assure you it's first and foremost in English. Region 2 (Not dubbed or subtitled)

I am skeptical however about the future release of season 2 as it's now been 2 years and not a dickybird, as we say in Britain.

Don't hesitate to buy it, even though the websites are in french they're straight forward if you're used to negotiating amazon-style sites.

How can you tell how anyone is pronouncing things online? To my knowledge no one spelled Zorro with one "r".

They have, but only in 8-episode chronological volumes which are currently available exclusively to Disney Movie Club members. Of course, I'm sure a few copies from there will end up on eBay, if they haven't already.

Unfortunately, we Canadians can't join the club. :(

We can only hope that eventually they will release season sets to the general public.

"Zorro" fans can look forward to the next set of Disney Treasures, which includes the first appearance of Guy Williams as Zorro on "The Fourth Anniversary Show", which is part of the "Your Host, Walt Disney" set. Work continues on trying to get a US boxed set. Getting the legal folks to approve the Treasures usage was a big plus, as there had been some confusion over rights clearance that was finally resolved.

Why did I say that? I must have thought that was how you spelled it back then.

I thought at least one of the "anniversary" shows would end up on this Treasures DVD set. Any info you can share on the remaining shows on this set? Although already released on the Darby O'Gill DVD, I suspect "I Captured The King Of The Leprechauns" will be in this set since it is the most extensive acting appearance of Walt in the TV shows. I would also think Disneyland Goes To The World's Fair would be on this set.

Even if you're not able to share the contents, we should get a press release on the contents within the next week or two.

It would be great if the Zorro series was finally released in a boxed set/sets. I still enjoy watching the shows I taped from the Disney Channel.

Thanks for your info, Bill!! Take care...Jerry

Hi, Jerry. Hope all's well. I thought the list of episodes would have leaked out by now! I haven't been able to make it to this board much having been buried on some other projects. I was up in San Francisco last week meeting with Diane Disney Miller, who is building a museum to showcase her dad. I was flattered that they asked me to do the TV section, and hope to be handling the World's Fair as well.

In any event, "I Captured the King of the Leprechauns" is there for the next Wave, as are the 4th and 10th Anniversary episodes. Best thing for me, though, is the long thought lost "Kodak Presents Disneyland '59". This only aired once as a Special and is one of the few shows I am missing. I don't have my list of the other stuff right here but will try to stop back again with it.

Work has already started on the following Wave! Happily they have asked me to help on that as well.

Hi again Bill! Hope all is well with you and your family, also! Life is fine in the Edwards household.

That is a nice list so far - "I Captured ..." , 4th & 10th Anniversaries, and WOW!!! I NEVER THOUGHT they would ever find that "Kodak Presents Disneyland '59". I "remember" us talking about this special a few years ago as one Disneyland special that might be REALLY LOST. I look forward to this special, but I'm also happy for you that you will finally add it to your collection.

Yes, info/rumors on the contents of this Your Host set have been almost non-existent. I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE a list of what other contents are on this set WHEN YOU CAN FIND THE TIME. But just what you have already listed makes this a VERY SPECIAL set for me, INDEED!!

I hope you enjoy your work on Wave 7 - hopefully there will be 4 sets. For me, I already know they will be special - all the Walt Disney Treasures sets have been special for me. It is especially great for me to get the Disney shorts on DVD, but I also want as many of the Disney TV anthology shows as possible.

Take care ... Jerry

Well I am flabberghasted to hear that the kodak '59 is actually still in existance! However I'd rather something else would have been there instead of 'I Captured...' after all it's already on the DVD of Darby O' Gill, I hope there won't be much other double dipping.

And of course.. the other double dip is the 10th anniversary show... We already have that one in wave 1 of the Treasures.

I hate double dipping, when there is still so much unreleased...

I hope there is no more double dipping on this release or I'm sure there will be a lot of resentment amongst collectors.

Hi Bill,

I have two memories of you. Seeing you almost any time I ever went into the archives and the Happiest Millionaire Party. Wasn't that at your house? That sure was fun.

I'm looking forward to the new "Your host..." DVD set. Any idea if they will still edit the 10th Anniversary or are they going to be able to release it uncut now? I love that but like the Tiki Room section is like running fingernails on a blackboard to me because I know that episode so well.

Hope all is well with you!
