The Smallville Thread
Since I could not find any other thread on Smallville, I decided to make one for the fantastic show, which corresponds with the Desperate Housewives and Gilmore Girls "Official Threads".
Smallville. Could teenage Superman have been any better? Ranking, IMHO as the best show on the WB, along with the equally spectacular, albeit, less "Super" Gilmore Girls.
A little over an hour ago, the new episode aired (Eastern Time), and it was superb.
"Guest-starring", if you will, fellow future-super hero Aqua-Man, the action and acting were, as usual, magnificent. I found A-M, to be a very interesting character. Better, at least, than his comic-book counterpart.
Did you see the new episode? Do you have a favorite? Have you even seen the show?!?
Feel free to discuss all things Smallville including the actors and their characters, the episodes, and the special guest characters!

**P.S.- Smallville is Winner- 2005, in UD's own 1st Annual WB Survivor!

I occassionally watched this show during the first season, but quickly lost interest. Also, I cannot stomach watching Tom Welling's attempts at acting on this show. Other than that, Smallville's a pretty decent show, with a rather solid cast (Lex and Lana stand out among the better younger actors).

Def hooked on Smallville I love the effects, the characters and seeing Aquaman was cool, but I thought the story went a little of track. It was just a story and didn't move the big plot along. I think those kinds of stories are my least fav. Oh and what's up with the halloween episode next week? I don't care since I know I will watch it anyway. I have seen every episode and am excited to see what else happens this season. GO SMALLVILLE!

Hey there... Quick question before I'm off to bed. Would you recommend a blind-buy for the first season of the set? I've had the sudden urge of buying it after hearing lots about it and the fact that a friend recommended the show.
I loved the few episodes I saw (they were the earliest ones). I also love super-hero movies (Spiderman, X-Men, Batman Begins). Considering all that, and the fact that I like action TV, would you recommend this? Also, how are the DVD sets? Do they have bonus features etc...?
Any advice/opinion would be most welcome!

I've finally got my hands on Season 1 and I'm having a blast! My favourites so far are Pilot, X-Ray, Hourglass and Jitters! I love the whole cast, especially the Luthor family. The guys who play Lex and his dad are really talented actors. I'll probably move on to disc #3 later tonight.

The actor who plays Lex also voices The Flash on the Justice League animated series!DisneyFan 2000 wrote:I've finally got my hands on Season 1 and I'm having a blast! Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
I was just wondering what you guys would think of this idea.
Since Smallville is such a popular show.
Why cant they make a show about Batman/Bruce Wayne like that.
I think that a Batman/Bruce Wayne show about him in high school/college would be great. Cause in Batman Begins we never really see him in school. So we would see what school was like for him.
We see what school is like for Peter Parker (Spider-Man)
We See what School is like for Clark Kent (Smallville)
So Possibly a show about Bruce Wayne (Batman) as a high school and college student?
