Chicken Little DVD release

My local Game Stop store has already started taking pre-orders for the Chicken Little DVD and it still has over a month before it even hits theaters.

The salesman showed me their release list for 2006 and it will be released on DVD on Feb. 7th. That means it will be released on DVD just 3 months after the theatrical release.

While I don't doubt you, I do doubt that Disney would release <i>Chicken Little</i> the same day as <i>Bambi II</i>. They tend to scatter their major animated releases, especially on a somewhat off-season Tuesday in the beginning of February. And before anyone points it out, December 13th - with the release of both <i>Kronk's New Groove</i> and <i>Valiant</i> - is something of an anomaly, but neither <i>Kronk</i> nor <i>Valiant</i> are getting the type of financial backing and promotional push that <i>Bambi</i> and <i>Chicken</i> are.

I think what's more likely is that we'll see <i>Chicken</i> released sometime in March, around <i>Pooh's Grand Adventure</i> and <i>Leroy & Stitch</i>.
