ToonDISNEY is a big joke

Post by jediliz »

AT night they show shows that aren't even Disney shows and they air the X-Men series episodes(which ABC Family doesn't air anymore) out of order!

We really need to get that petition sent to Disney and tell them that PowerRangers DOES Not belong on that channel. Its not a cartoon and its not a program that belongs on a cartoon channel.

And if they bring back some of the shows, they need them to air @ a decent time. For example, they used to air care bears at 4:00 or 5:00 AM. Most people aren't up that early. I had to set my VCR to record. And then I only got a tape's worth before they decided to remove the show.

I know there are a lot of other frustrated people that agree with me.

Please DISNEY - bring back the classics! Remove POWER RANGERS!

*end rant*

(I couldn't find any threads complaining about ToonDisney)

I agree- the nice Disney shows are on at hours when no one can watch the shows! Talespin is on at 3:30 AM!, and Chip And Dale is on at 4:30. Who is up that late?! or, that early? I mean seriously, I do not know anyone who is up like that. Besides, little kids are not up that early. I would like to see Disney shows- and good shows. Such as Chip and Dale, Bonkers, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Talespin, etc. In other words, the shows that used to be on the "Disney Afternoon" show. :) [/i]

one more thing I forgot - what's up with ToonDisney having to show COMMERCIALS? And I don't for their shows - I mean for actual products like insurance or MCDonalds? If they were more like Boomerang, which doesn't have commercials except tiny breaks which are just cartoon quirks stuff........they don't have commercials for food or something like that......

Its just frustrating as heck to see that Toon Disney doesn't show any other toons that are Disney except the original series and then that junk like Digimon..........

They should show more movies, too. I'd like to see a Disney animated feature like Make Melody time (or whatever its called) on that channel. Same thing goes with Disney channel - what about showing a movie like Pollyanna? Or Old Yeller?
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

I don't bother with Dinsney anymore. Your 100% right! It is a big joke. I will admit I do love watching X-Men the animated series on their (love it), but I agree on everything else. Plus half the disney cartoons aren't even that good, except the classics which are... pretty much dead!

I don't watch Toon Disney that much, but sometimes I do. They were showing too much "X-Men" and "Spider-Man", both of these are my brother's favorite shows. I remember Vault Disney a lot on another Disney Channel from several years back where they showed old cartoons as well as feature films that were classics. I used to tape it off of the old Disney Channel many years ago, but now it's gone. I missed Vault Disney with a passion. :(

Seems that Toon Disney isn't even showing their classic 80s shows/cartoons...just the late 90s stuff that has since stopped production.

Hey it's not as bad as say, the regular "Disney Channel".

While I do admit that the Power Ranger and Superhero stuff gets a bit overdone, but who couldn't love a station that still shows "Buzz Lightear of Star Command" and "The Timon and Pumbaa show"? :D

Plus they show way better movies than The Disney Channel.

^ True, nowhere near as bad, but you'd think they'd start showing some of their classics like Cartoon Network does with the Boomerang channel. (too bad we don't get sattelite tv anymore. :( Miss that channel....)

it would be a wise decition as a stategy to obtain some space on a market that only Boomerang have entered: The old toons without having to buy the DVDs for those who can´t

True, but I think the reason that we might not have seen any older Disney toons on the tube is because they're trying to release them to the DVD market. The same can't be said for what is shown on Boomerang, so that would be the only way to see those shows.

I miss the old Toon Disney. When it first launched, it didn't have commercials, and it showed all the disney afternoon shows during the day. It started going down hill after they started showing commercials. I don't even bother watching Toon Disney anymore.

Toondisey isn't what it use to be, I can't stand some of the crap thats on there now. But, I guess thats what kids these days want to watch. I can still find decent movies to watch or record on my DVR on Toondisney, Disney Channel too.
In recent weeks I've watch or recorded...

ToonDisney:
Return to Neverland
The Black Cauldron
Pocahontas

Disney Channel:
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
The Return Of Jafar
Aladdin And The King Of Thieves
Tower of Terror: The Movie
Piglet's Big Movie
Cadet Kelly

Not a bad list, could be better. But it shows I can still find something watch on both channels.

you have to Disney-related channels?

Man, so in both channels they show some things like Power rangers instead of just Disney-related shows?

That´s definitely not the way to treat the audience

Lucky!

I don't think I ever saw a classic movie on... well maybe expect Dumbo, I'm not really sure. I don't really watch Disney Channel all that much to be sure that there are classic movies or TV shows on the air.

And ABC or some network puts classic Disney movies on the air or something like that. Also cartoons. But I never watched them lately because I have to go to work or school. That I rather watch South Park, King of the Hill or The Simpsons. But that's me.
