Favorite U2 Song/Album

Post by Gregorian Chant »

I think that U2 is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, based on their longevity and classic recordings. Right now, my favorite U2 song is Pride (In the Name of Love) and my favorite album is The Joshua Tree.

(If this is not where it's supposed to be, feel free to move it to where it is supposed to be :D )
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we'd be going off in all directions, banging into floats... scary.

I'm not a U2 Fan, but I love the songs that Bono did with The Corrs on their Live In Dublin tv special. They all sound good together.
"When The Stars Go Blue"
"Summer Wine"

There is one other song by U2 that I like, and it's on the ac radio here alot, but what it's called, I have no idea.

Not the biggest fan of U2 - they're a bit too ubiquitous and generic by this point in their career. You can immediately tell when a song's a U2 song - they all have that similar "sound" and style to them. I do like one of their newest singles that's been on the radio lately - "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" - but again, it sounds like most other U2 songs past and present! LOL

Speaking of the band, their tour had them performing just last night here in Minneapolis. The alternative station I usually listen to was making a big to-do about it, since the concert was sold out and they were giving away tickets on call-in contests, and such. Apparently Bono and the whole band actually came out and chatted and shook hands with the people who had been waiting in line for hours in general admissions. At least they're quite down-to-earth... that's a nice trait. :)
Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late."
