Once Upon (Another) Dream. Like/Dislike

Post by Matt »

State your opinions about the song and video in this thread! :)
Matt's Opinion:

I like the song and the video. I am not a really big fan of No Secrets because they are not that great. I would rather listen to other groups but this song they did a really nice job on! I thought everything fit nicely with the video and the song! GREAT JOB DISNEY!

What do you guys think? :D

I dislike 'em both.

The song is not catchy, is literally impossible to sit through, and it ruins the original material. Plus, when you think about it, have a euro-pop rendition of a classical music masterpiece is ridiculous.

The video I don't hate, but it does look incredibly cheap.

Over and out.

I like both, and watched it twice, the day I got the DVD!

It is very catchy and the only reason someone might not like it is cause their stuck up and didn't give it a chance.... Probably dead set against the video before they even saw it...

Now I did not expect to like it at all, but I think it was pretty good when you compare it to some of disney's other videos... :)

Well now...that's a mighty broad generalization.

I listened to it for about a minute (a tad bit more than the 27 seconds I previously stated in another thread) and thought it was horrid. I gave it a chance and did not like it.

I'm 31 so I'm not exactly out-of-touch with what hip music is and all.

Oh hey, no need to apologize for stating your opinion about the song. It's just not the best thing to do to categorize or otherwise lob insults at those that happen to disagree with you 8)

U guys are making this song and video worse than it is! I think you all did the same thing with Beauty and the Beast by Jump5! Give them a chance! You do not have to love this song all the time, just like it and give it chance! :)

I did not like it either! No offence to Prince Phillip or anyone else who liked it, but I think that the traditional songs are wonderful, and they do not need to be redone by pre-teens.

Oh no offense taken!! :)

And I agree with you, that they do not need to be redone by tween, preteen, tenny bopper, groups, and for the most part I don't care for their remakes, I just happened to like Once Upoun (Another) Dream. It seemed to have a dream like quality about it that was much different from the dreamlike quality of the original... that's all. I poped in the disc 2 the other day, just sop I could watch/listen to that song   .

Yesterday I watched the version, of the film, with commentary. A lot of people have been asking me to do a review, maybe I will.
