Gargoyles Season 2 Commercial (NO, it's not done yet)

Post by Siren »

*bangs head again and again...*

I'm done now. Okay, I am trying to make this video as professional as possible...I am trying to write a script for a voice over actor who is giving me a very low price. But god, I so don't want a cliche, craptacular script...
For a thousand years, they laid dormant, in stone cold sleep...till an impossible spell was finally broken...awakened in a time they do not know...in a world they do not understand...they watch us...waiting...to save us all...

On December 6th, 2005, the legend continues...

okay, and with the action in the ()

For a thousand years, they laid dormant, in stone cold sleep (views of the castle, the stone gargoyles)...till an impossible spell was finally broken (view of the castle in NY, the gargoyles awakening)...awakened in a time they do not know (scenes of various episodes from season 2)...in a world they do not understand (same)...they watch us...waiting...to save us all (scenes of City of Stone, mostly)...
(more scenes)

On December 6th, 2005, the legend continues...(end with Gargoyles logo and the date of release)
Does is suck? Too much? Cliche? I know I'll be showing scenes of Season 1 at the beginning, I was also thinking of adding at the end, a picture of Season 1 cover, with "Now Available".

I just thought it might start looking like the gargoyles are the villian and then the "save us all", might perk some people's interest...

Please, critque!! If you totally hate it, please, be totally honest. As brutal as it may be. I want to hear what you guys think Thanks!

I posted this on S8.org but also wanted to ask you guys what you think.

Yeah and maybe the MSRP price. Maybe you could also include a little snippet of what the bonus features will be. You could probably take some from the first season without any non-die hard fans noticing. Maybe you could also say "Also coming our of the Disney vault or two leading Disney Afternoon cartoons that would later pave the way for Gargoyles Ducktales and Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers. Then show maybe the disk art if it comes out soon.
Wants Muppet Babies on DVD!!
Hopefully if Duckales and Rescue Rangers sell well we will get it!! Don't forget Gummi Bears!

Maybe you should add also what happen to the 20th Anniversary of Gummi Bears and The Wuzzles. :D

Also add because you supported and demanded Season 1 now Disney will bring out Season 2 Volume 1.

I wasn't a big fan...needs some rewording, impossible spell just sounded awful...try this...

For a thousand years, they have slumbered, confined to stone...betrayed by mankind, and imprisoned by a mystical spell...until now...in a world they do not understand...they watch us...waiting...to save us all...

On December 6th, 2005, the legend continues...

Thanks all for the ideas.

I don't think I'll be adding the Disney Afternoon ads to it. It just doesn't fit well with the drama of the commercial I am planning.

The MSRP price is kinda high, but most stores are selling below MSRP, so I don't think I want to add that either.

I've been watching commercials of other tv seasons, mainly Buffy season 2-7, to get an idea on how they editted and advertised it. Taking inspiration and ideas from that as well. Hoping the cover art comes out before the video is done. If not, I can add it later.
