Reasons for buying sequels...
I'd like to know the reasons behind buying sequels.
I mean:
1) You buy just the sequels of your favorite movie (so you have them all)?
2) You buy just the good sequel to your favorite movie.
3) You buy all sequels to have them all.
4) You just buy the sequels if they're good ones.
5) You just don't buy them.
... in my case, I'll say it one last time.
Just have the Aladdin sequels becuase of my favorite movie.
I just have Lion King 1 1/2 because: it has good quality, it is a parody and the price was right ($10)
... other than that I won't buy any more sequels.

Hey its' me again.............as usual I will state categorically, it it isn't shown the theater it isn't a legitimate 'movie'...........if it is direct-to-dvd it is a video. If all these sequels are supposed to be so good, why not give the exposure they should have in a movie theater first.

The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!

Siren, how old are you? I always thought you were one of those really mature-posting teenagers.
It seems like everyone here is only referring to Disney sequels. But anyways, I rent the sequel first (or catch it on TV) then decide if it's good enough for me to own on DVD. I think there have been only two cases for me where I blind-bought the sequels before I saw/bought the movie:
1. Cocoon: The Return - this was only $7.50 at Wal-Mart, and it sounded REALLY good, so I bought it, expecting to buy the first later on.
2. Spy Kids 2 and 3 - I found them used and in near-perfect condition at GameStop, and the price was right for both ($5.99 and $7.99), so I picked them up. Haven't had a chance to watch 2 yet, but 3 took me by surprise.

For Me: I buy all sequels to have them all.
But however this does not include all the Pooh sequels (just The search for christopher robin, and the theatrical sequels) I also get all the other DTVS (An Extermly Goofy Movie, Three Musketeers, Mickey's Once Upon A christmas, etc)

I only buy the sequels that look decent or go along with my favorite movies (like TLM2). Of course, sometimes they look decent, but aren't that great. Mulan 2 proved that to me. I hope I never have to hear someone say, "My duty is to my heart" EVER again.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"

LOL, for some reason, I'm getting a kick out of the fact that my name is in bold, almost as if you were like a teacher lecturing a smart aleck student.Evil Genie Jafar wrote:Well, Escapay. I meant Disney sequels... but since I wasn't specific you can talk about sequels in general.
I don't own many Disney sequels, simply because Kram collects the animated ones. I do have "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves", which at one time was played on the Disney Channel at least twice a week back in the day, which is probably why I bought it. I think that's the only Disney sequel I have. Kram has BATB2, TLK 2 and 1 1/2, Mulan 2, Twice Upon A Christmas, TLM 2. I'd have gotten Cindy 2 just to annoy him, but while it's a nice little movie, I wouldn't want to admit owning it.
