Found this on Nausicaa.net. Disney has opened a new Flash Studio Ghibli website. There is a new trailer for Disney's Ghibli collection on the site. The trailer reveals that wave 4 will be Howl's Moving Castle & My Neighbor Totoro in Spring 2006. Also there are clips from the new Totoro dub.

I really like this new trailer. It really makes me want to watch the Ghibli films again. This is also good news about Totoro and Howl's. However I am disapponted that a third movie is not included. But that leaves room for Wave 5 to have Only Yesterday and Whisper of the Heart. But it leaves out Ocean Waves. So hopefully wave 5 will be 3 movies.
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline
5. Ponyo

That was an excellent and classy trailer. Out of all the Ghibli films I haven't seen, Totoro is the one I'm most interested in, though I've been saying his name wrong everytime I've read it (I've been saying "tuh-TOR-oh", not "TOH-tuh-roh" like the trailer said). I'm also really interested in Howl's Moving Castle. With the slump animation has been in for 2005, I think it's safe to assume Howl will win Best Animated Feature next year at the Oscars.

Personally I would've paired the movies like this.

Howl & Whisper - Fantasy Wave.
Totoro & Yesterday - Rural farm life Wave. :P:

The Japanese Ghibli Collection trailer on the JP Yamadas DVD is so much better than Disney's trailer.

I wonder how many people that look at this site know of the existance of Princess Mononoke and Castle of Cagliostro?

Hopefully people will do their homework and seek out these films if they are just being introduced to Miyazaki through Disney.

I can't wait until Totoro comes out either...seems like such a long time to wait. >< It looks really good and very imaginative. Did Joe Hisaishi also compose the music for this?

*still needs to see Porco Rosso*
