Fan Art?

Post by brownie »

I tried searching for topics on fan art, but I didn't find anything, so I assume it's okay if I make this topic.. :)

Here's a painting I did from a scene in The Little Mermaid:

Sorry about the poor quality of the pic. My camera's weird.

Those are really great, you two. Brownie, I actually thought that was an animation cel for a minute.

Oh, and there's a thread on this in off-topic.

Haha yeah..I want a few animation cels, so I decided to make my own. This was kind of a test one, so it was done on printer paper. :P Way cheaper than $400.

Another bad picture of a lame, wrinkly DIY cel.

I'm not sure if anyone is paying attention to this thread, but I might as well post the paintings I made today.

Great job guys! For the life of me I can't seem to get myself interested in making backgrounds anymore.

I've posted at least some of this stuff elsewhere in this forum, hope it's okay that I post some of it again:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... t/koda.png" alt="Koda, no relation to Batty">

This is a digital picture of a photocopy of the original, which was done with a ball-point pen and given away (hence the reason I made a photocopy).

The rest of these are scans of photocopies of freehand artwork I've done in marker.

And I don't remember whether or not I ever posted these Mulan or Dori coloring sheets I made:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... sheet4.jpg" alt="Where's the background?">

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... sheet5.jpg" alt="Just keep swimming">

But I'm pretty sure Tink's been posted somewhere here before:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/ ... sheet7.jpg" alt="I don't TINK so">

I guess I should get cracking and post up some new stuff!

I hate what I did to Aladdin's nose..I made him look Jewish. I'll go back and fix that.

The Aladdin picture is beautiful! Anyway in answer to the post, I myself can't draw a good circle, much less well enough to do Disney characters justice, but I do know of a totally amazing site that is all about Ariel:

Wow! Awesome fan art, guys!

brownie, you're getting better and better with each "DIY cell" you make. Good job!! I really like the Ariel and Eric one and the Belle and the enchanted rose one (Aug 12). Did u finish that one, btw?

I'm sorry to say I have stopped drawing a while ago, but my disney art wasn't that great anyway. I do have this...a Kingdom Hearts desktop, lol:

Those look great!

I did finish the Beauty and the Beast one, but it really doesn't look that good. I also noticed that I get better and better with my "DIY cels". :)

I don't like the colors. :\

Some others I just found:

I wouldn't consider this as fan art, but it's still pretty cool.

EDIT

I didn't want to post 3 times in a row, so I edited this post..

Image

Inspired by that link Princess Jasmine posted, I drew a picture of Ariel (with pencil and paper), took a picture of it, and attempted to color it in (except I used MS Paint because I don't have photoshop :P).
