Still no info on whats on Winter Wonderland then :(
I'm so glad that disney are finally releasing the treasures sets over here, but do you think we'll get the others? I really want the B&W mickey set but somehow don't see it being released over here.

I think we may get all of the animation sets - including Behind the Scenes with The Reluctant Dragon, but something like Disneyland or Davey Crockett[*] will only have limited appeal in the UK and will not be released.

[*] But my mum has fond memories of Davey Crockett which was shown on UK TV in the fifties and loved my Davey Crockett set.

The Aussie OFLC classified a volume of Fables that has The Reluctant Dragon on it, but is yet to classify any of the Treasures (6 volumes of Fables though).

Until the SS and MMILC were announced in the UK, I had assumed that they would not release any of them due to their limited appeal, especially given the release of the Fables and Everyone Loves... series. But now I don't know...

I think your hypothesis is sound, but it is possible you will see them down the track in some form.

But I guess only releasing two at a time supports your theory (they will release similiar waves, btu animation only).

I never knew Zorro was that popular over here, I only know what it is because I had the theme tune on my sing-a-long song video from like 11 years ago. Oh and that awful movie with Antonio and Mrs Duglas.

Well, I've got to wonder why Zorro when, as you say there's little interest in it over here (I can't even remember a time when it was on television... in fact I can't remember the first time it was on television) and there appears to be no upcoming R1 release either (surely this is ideal for Walt Disney Treasures?)

Now, a 6-Disc House of Mouse set... all the episodes, commentaries, animatics and more... that would be more logical? Yes? :)

Out of interest Matty, as a fellow UK resident, can you remember Disney's Zorro ever being shown on UK tv?

A few wee things for 2099net. Being only 18 I cant tell ya whether Zorro was shown on UK TV back in the 60's, but I'm sure that ITV used to show it for a while on Saturday afternoons (cant remember how long a go though).

The other thing is.........
I LOVE "THE HOUSE OF MOUSE", Ive just started watching it on the disney channel at 8:30 before leaving for college and its actually a great little show. So from now on I fully surport your house of mouse DVD campaigne.

I don't have much enthusiam for this batch of releases, so let's just get them over with:

BELLE'S MAGICAL WORLD has been submitted again - I can only suggest this means the UK will get an individual release (to date it has only been available in a boxset with the single disc Beauty and the Beast: Special Edition) But I don't see why this would need a re-classification?

KIM POSSIBLE has had some menus passed.

THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG has been passed. I guess this will be a barebones release over here.

Two commentaries have been passed for PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN (hopefully another 2 are to come, giving the UK 4 like the US release - especially as I have the UK release on order)

2009net - There are only 3 commentary tracks slated for the US release of Pirates. So you only need to see one more passed. Perhaps you're confusing it with the LOTR megaset, which has 4 and hits stores soon as well?
