New DVD Giveaway Contest Info
Okay, it's up. Too hard? Too easy? I have no idea.
Can the few of you who are on right now just give it a look see and let me know if it's particularly, overwhelmingly difficult? I want as many people as possible be able to win, but at the same time I want it to be fun, so I did a mix of very easy, moderately challenging, and kind of challenging ones.

Once I get a few "okay"s, I'll put the link up on the front page. Thanks.

Okay, well as I stated a few times in the past, a new contest is approaching. In fact, it could be up as early as today.
Instead of trivia questions like last time, this one will be a little more challenging. I'm going to post screencaps from a variety of Disney films, which you have to identify. I'm obviously not going to put the most unrecognizable shots, and some you won't even have to had seen to recognize it.
I was thinking of requiring 8 correct identifications out of 10 captures to be eligible for the free DVD, but now I'm thinking 10 out of 15 would be better. Does that sound fair?
Let me know your feelings, and then once it goes up, you can give me some feedback.

Anyone who gets at least 10 out of 15, (or at least 8 out of 10) is eligible to win.indianajdp wrote:Sounds good to me...and I assume you draw from all correct entries?
*** I think 8 of 10 is the way to go.
10/15 makes it not so tough for you, and allows me to put in some stuff that I might not otherwise. A bunch of them will probably be pretty easy.

I like this idea!!! 8 out of 10 sounds better to me
but whatever you think is best! I can't wait till it is posted. How soon can we expect it? I am already excited. It'll be fun even if i get 3 out of 10!
Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.

Now that's the kind of enthusiasm I like.Cinderelly wrote:I like this idea!!! 8 out of 10 sounds better to mebut whatever you think is best! I can't wait till it is posted. How soon can we expect it? I am already excited. It'll be fun even if i get 3 out of 10!
Probably by tonight or tomorrow. And it will run for about a month.
In the meantime, here is the list of eligible prize titles:
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/contest2/eligible.html
Same guidelines for prize titles as last time:
The winner gets to choose any single Disney movie on DVD, provided that it's in print, presented in its original aspect ratio, and retails for less than $30.
If anyone finds something missing that should be there, let me know. Thanks.

I love that idea Luke. I've played games like this on other sites before, and its really fun.
Look forward to entering the contest . . .
And DEMOLISHING the competition!
(I'm just kidding. I'm going to lose. I know I will. I'm a loser. I can and I will lose. I have low self-esteem. My name is Jack and I have a problem)

I guess if you're old enough to type, you're old enough to enter.Leonia wrote:What's the mininum age requirement?
Actually, I guess it's technically 13, as that's how old you have to be to register for online forums.
If someone is under 13 and wishes to enter, well then they can get parental permission, I suppose. Don't think this applies to any of the forum members.
