There are lots of DVD's that are coming out this year, and some of them are really highly anticipated by me. Here there are:

1-)Titanic 4-Disc Deluxe Collection
2-)Gladiator (New Special Edition)
3-)Ghost Busters (New Box Set edition, for just 20 buxks, I could get 2 movies!)
4-)The Wizard of Oz (3-Disc)
5-)Cinderella: Platinum Edition (Of course)
6-)Tarzan (Special Edition)
7-)Prince of Bel-Air (Season 2)
8-)Jaws (30th Anniversary Edition)
9-)E.T: The Extra Terrestrial (New Special Edition)
10-)Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith]
11-)Toy Story (10th Anniversary Edition)
12-)Toy Story 2
13-)T2: Extreme Edition
14-)Ben Hur (4-Disc)
15-)Star Wars Trilogie
16-)Star Wars Episode I & II

If Lilo and Stitch will be available for this year, which I highly doubt, I'll buy it.

Thank GOD I GOT AMADEUS IN EUROPE!!!!

I am also really offended that people would rather buy the special edition of Titanic than of Ben-Hur. Ben-hur is coming out in sep. as a 4 disc DVD and I'm extremely disgusted that people are buying all these "unnecesary" DVDs in my opinion while they don't get Ben-Hur. Its a classic movie and also won 11 academy awards (same as Titanic or ROTK). Really, I'm shocked that people are buying Robots or any of those lame non-disney films and aren't buying Ben-Hur!!!

I was going to get them online for around $30-40 each and hope that, if it's a bootleg, it at least plays properly.

People have the right to get any movie they want, Why would you be disqusted because someone wants Titanic, Ben-Hur, Robots or any other movie, We all have differnet tastes in movies and get what we want, And Just because a movie is not made by disney does not mean I wont get it.
I will get Robots, i thought it was a fun family flick and my kids and I enjoyed it. I will not get Titanic, I have it on video and I will not get Ben Hur. Maybe if these movies had slip covers you would get them Alan :)

I'm not going to bother listing stuff that's already out that I hope to have by the end of the year because that would take way too long and I doubt anybody would be that interested in every movie I collect to care, but here's the as-yet-unreleased stuff I hope to own this year. This is also a DVD-only list; no books, CDs, etc. will be listed here.

August If I Have The Money
Studio Gibli Wave 3

September MUSTS
Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition

September If I Have The Money
Lost Season 1
Desperate Housewives Season 1
(of these, Lost is bigger priority and I'll only be able to afford one, if that)

October MUSTS
Cinderella
Tarzan
Emporer's New Groove (I don't really like it but I'm getting all the animated classics at some point so I may as well get this one now when the new edition is on sale)
Titanic (the big release; it's currently unclear if it's 3-disc or 4-disc, but definately not the 2-disc. I want the biggie.)
The Wizard of Oz 2-Disc SE (though I think the 3-disc cover is nicer, except the Baum doccumentary all the extras on Disc 3 are irrelivant to me and I can't justify spending more for them just for the Baum doc and cool artwork, so, 2-disc for me.)

October If I Have the Money
Ferngully: The Last Rainforest SE
Elektra Director's Cut (rental)
Kingdom of Heaven (rental)

November MUSTS
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

November If I Have The Money
The Polar Express

December MUSTS
Toy Story 2 SE

Fall 2005 TBA MUSTS
Star Wars Clone Wars Voliume 2
Batman Begins
War of the Worlds

Fall 2005 TBA Maybes
Sound of Music 40th Anniversary Edition (I already have old 2-disc Five Star from 5 years ago 35th anniversary and am skeptical about what can be done to improve its exellence).
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Cinderella Man
The Island
Stealth
The Brothers Grimm
March of the Penguins

Especially in the case of the stuff near the bottom of that list, it depends on if I see it and how much I like the movie before I decide on a purchase.

What are you surprised about.

Titanic was the 90's
Robots was 2005
and if you look at everyones lists there are all kinds of movies
Maybe you should open your eyes a little
I would say most movies listed in this thread are from the 90's or 2000's

I'm just surprised of the several people here that posted lists, no one has posted Ben-Hur. and Memnv, have you ever seen Ben-Hur before?
