Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

Post by Hogi Bear »

This is a really interesting looking movie, but I wonder what the deal is with the rising of the dead, maybe a curse, because he ran out before the Wedding due to nerves and as punishment he has to marry one of the dead.

I haven't seen this new trailer (because I'm on dial-up), but here are the direct links from Yahoo! (Just click and save as):

Hogi, Johnny Depp's character is set to marry. But he is nervous. One night he is in the woods, practicing giving her the ring when he sees a finger shaped "stick" poking from the snow. As a joke, he slips it on the stick and then takes it away. Turns out the stick was actually the finger bones of a murdered bride and she believes he is to marry her

I've been looking forward to this for some time. And the longer trailer looks awesome. The music at the beggining I recognized right away from Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events. Plus, Christopher Lee is in it! Yay! I'll definatley be seeing this.

Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride

Post by Kenai »

What do you all think of this?

I just truly discovered it yesterday, and I gotta say it looks good. :) Very good. This might become this decade's "Nightmare Before Christmas" cult classic.

And as Lindsay seems to be to Disney these days, Johnny Depp seems to be to Burton, this is his supposed 5th film with the critically-acclaimed director.

All I gotta say is I must see this, and if not, own it on DVD when it comes. Looks great! :D

You simply can't go wrong when you combine animation, Tim Burton, and Johnny Depp!

i've known about this one for a while, but saw the new trailer last night with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Can't wait!!!

I can't wait til this is released. I saw the trailer a few months back and it looked so... smooth. It looked almost like CGI because the movements were so faultless. I don't know, it kinda lost that special *something* cause of it though.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I saw the trailer while waiting for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to begin, it does look interesting.

I might not go to the theaters to watch it, though.

They had a small section of the Corpse Bride at Comic-Con. And they had a small display of it as well. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the picture of it? I'm not sure (what with those stupid rules and whatnot...wait, I think it said I was going to sell the picture, then that'd be illegal). Very Jack Skellingtonish, but still an interesting movie to see based on the trailer and the characters I saw at ComicCon.

I wanted so badly to steal the bride as a souveneir. :(

I saw the trailer and I am very excited about it now. I noticed that the music they were playing was "What's This" from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which I tought was kind of wierd. I can't wait for it to come out, but I guess I'll go see Chocolate Factory to pass the time.

Tim Burton's genius + Johnny Deep's acting + Christopher Lee's acting = classic movie
