How cute! You're looking outside in the carriage (coach...erm, pumpkin ride thing)! The other menus look fine! WoWee! :D

Too bad it's not final final. :p

I think it might be the "final final."

Seems like it's an animated menu (as always) with the two different looks of the main menu on Disc 1.

They're all too cartoony for my taste. This is the CINDERELLA PLATINUM DVD! I'd rather see more of a classy, sparkline, magical more semi-sophisticated menus. The current ones are too "fun."

I like 'em. But I'm disappointed... This confirms that there's no audio commentary (unless they chose to hide it in the setup again).

I think there good. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure I could come up with much better. But let's hope, if it's final, they just hid the Audio Commentary in the special/set up features (as with BatB).

The Disc 2 ones look nice, but the Disc 1 ones just look disgusting. Not only are they overly bright, but the 3D animation here looks horrible and destroys the classic feel to the film. Me no likey. :headshake:

They look a little weird but maybe once you have them on your TV it'll be better.

I, personally, think they're beautiful. They're better than what I could've hoped for, and I love the idea of the main menu being inside the carriage. Unlike most people, I like CGI in the menus, and people shouldn't find the CGI in this unexpected as every Platinum has CGI in its menus. I think it makes the experience more immersive as opposed to just having flat menus with limited animation. As others have said, it seems we're not getting a commentary track on this unless they're pulling a "Lion King" on us and hiding it under Set Up. Unforunately, I doubt that's the case. I can't believe of all of the Platinums to not have a commentary track, they HAD to choose Cinderella. They couldn't have picked a somewhat minor Platinum to befall that on like 101 Dalmatians or The Jungle Book (no offense to fans of those films, but come on, this is freaking Cinderella). Still, I'll hold out hope that it IS hidden under Set Up...

There's no audio commentary listed in the press release. Did Lion King have it listed in their press release?

No, and neither did Sleeping Beauty. We didn't find out either one of these titles had a commentary track until we saw menu screencaps. Since we have yet to see Cinderella's Set Up menu, I'm hoping and praying that we'll find a commentary track there.

I don't mind CGI in menus, but I'm not sure how I feel about the appearance of these. It's a little difficult to tell from stills. It looks like it might start with a big animated scene of the carriage rushing up to the screen and then stopping as the window goes by or something.

Disc 1's features were not what I was hoping to see... there better be a commentary in one of those sub-menus.

I just realized something. On the Bonus Features menu for disc one, there's a feature called "Dreams Come True." This isn't listed anywhere on the press release. While it's possible that this could be a shameless trailer for the sequel, could it be that maybe, just maybe, it could be some new term Disney's coined for the commentary track? We all know Disney loves to give flashy names to common things, thinking it'll attract more attention. Perhaps the same applies here?

Hmm - it's on the Disc 1 menu...

I wonder...it's an odd name for commentary...

I think you're overlooking this line in the press release:

*Dreams Come True: An Embattled CEO's Final Farewell
Feature-length commentary by Michael Eisner

;)

I like them, thought they look kinda weird, I guess they´re from the scene when they´re looking for the lady who missed the slipper

those menus will definitely look better in motion, I think the main menu will have a CG intro ala Beauty and the beast, the only platinum tittle without a CG intro is Bambi.
