You can always do what I do.

It doesn't sound digital, but you can always record the music off the videos onto your pc. I tape my microphone to the speaker on the tv, on either my MP3 player, or my Computer and record the sound file.

You can try used cds stores....but that would be difficult. Or you can try to download the songs off Limewire.

Or get something like ADS DVD Express. It is a USB box that allows you to hook up a VCR or camcorder and records the movies to your computer. Then you can seperate the music from the movie and make your own CDs. I believe you can hook a DVD player up to it, but have yet to try it. But the box costs $80 at Wal-Mart, so it's kinda pricey. I use to it get the videos onto the computer to make my music videos.

yeah, i too have used that trick before :P . i find the windows audio recorder (look in start menu>accessories) works really great for recording direct from a dvd. you pop the dvd in the computer, use whatever you use to play it (windows media player works fine). then you just have to go through the options in "recorder" and set it to record your speakers. it records direct! those directions might not be exact but it's not hard at all...
i'm still looking to buy the cd set because i wanted an official version... i guess i'll just have to keep lookin. thanks everyone for your suggestions!

HOw rare do you mean? I know if you walk into a regular music store at a mall or outlet center, you can usually find soundtracks to Disney movies in the soundtracks section. I've found TLM, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and others at an FYE before. I think one store had Hunchback but it was in Spanish.

Well, mainly i mean Cd's that can no longer be bought in stores. in particular i'm looking for the 4-disc set "Music Behind the Magic" with Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice's work, plus the soundtracks to TLM, BATB and Aladdin.
Are there are online stores that sell new and used collectibles/cd's?

I rarely buy any Disney CD's ever.

The only 2 that I have are Happiest Millionaire Soundtrack, and a Disney CD that I bought in 1998.

I have a ton of originonal Disney Soundtracks though on LP's. Scratchy but better than nothing lol.

Mainly though as I said before I just record the songs off of the vhs or the dvds.

rb_canadian181, Aladdin is quite popular in stores at the moment. Every platinum gets tons of merchandise released with it, and this is no exception. I also know for fact that Amazon still carries new soundtracks of The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. If you don't mind ordering from the web, that's your best shot. It shouldn't be too pricey.

Here:
The Little Mermaid - $13.99
Beauty and the Beast - $14.99

Those are good prices if you ask me.

You can't find all these songs on the diferrents movie soundtracks.

It's in a bog jewel jewel box, with a special booklet and everything. The box is big and heavy.

You can find a few complet sets on the amazon marketpalce for around 50 bucks.

I'll elt you know if I find it anywhere else.

I've actually had a lot of luck finding out of print soundtrack CD's at a used CD store. I used to love Disc Replay down in Joliet, IL, but now that I've moved out of state I can't seem to find its equal. :( I always go back and check it out when I'm visiting the area, though.

It depends on the product turnover of the individual store. The bigger the city, the better your chances. Many of them will even put you on a waiting list if you're looking for something in particular. :)

Yeah we have a bunch of used electrocis stores in town, which is about 20 minutes away (i'm in the burbs lol). I should see if they can put me on a list for a bunch of things....Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Music Behind the Magic, and now Sleeping Beauty. I just found out how great of a movie it is and it was still in stores a couple months ago :x

I would have to agree with the Used CDs Store; almost everyone I have been in has a pretty decent copy of either BATB or TLM original soundtrack for not very much. Aladdin however is pretty hard to find.

You can get it from Itunes music shop. All the original Disney records from all the movies are on Itunes. You do not need an ipod. Just download Itunes buy the songs and burn them on a cd.
