Disney's Divinity wrote:I bought the Power of Illusion game (because The Little Mermaid's a part of it, and there are villains on the cover. :P ). I had thought about going through the trouble of buying a Wii for the first game, but the series doesn't look good enough to go that far out of the way for it, tbh. But since I already have a Nintendo 3DS... :)
i tried the demo and it was ok. At the very least power of 2 is multi platform.

I really enjoyed the first one, but this one is SO much closer to that grittier style concept art we all saw at first.

Plus, my dream is finally a reality... Yep, had to do a double take during the trailer, but there is a character from freakin' Return to Oz. And apparently, someone from Black Cauldron makes an appearance.
Which character from "Return to Oz"? I'm not a gamer so I won't know unless somebody tells me... You mean Disney is starting to finally give "Return to Oz" some attention?

Tik-Tok. He's the basis of one of the Beetleworx enemies in the Parade Float Graveyard level.

You mean to tell me, they had this game planned where people could play as either hero OR villain?

DISNEY. HOW COULD YOU ABANDON THAT CONCEPT? AND IT'S GOT THE HORNED KING!!

I've read that Square Enix (who create the Kingdom Hearts series) had proposed the idea of a fighting game for Disney characters, but Disney apparently didn't like the idea of their characters being physically violent ( ). Instead, SE used Final Fantasy characters for the game and we have Dissidia.

I hope Disney will change their mind in future, especially now that they've expressed interest in increasing their presence in the gaming world. I don't consider these kind of games violent (I'm thinking of the Mario game for comparison), and they could even avoid violence by offering magic as an option so characters aren't always directly hitting each other. That would also offer more potential for characters who wouldn't be very strong otherwise. I really would have loved if SE had made the game considering how perfectly they capture the look of most Disney characters in Kingdom Hearts. And I know I would've had a huge fangasm playing a game like that.

I like the original game much better I feel that after you beat the mad doctor they lead the game very open ended. I'm not a huge fan. After I beat the mad doctor I haven't played since.

Disney has changed so much.

I remember seeing Mickey playing a Snow White version of Mortal Kombat at the beginning of Runaway Brain.

IT'S NOT FAIR! IT'S NOT FAIR! SCREW YOU, PEOPLE! Now how do we going to get Mickey and friends out of preschool prison? And how do we get Oswald the Lucky Rabbit his own tv show? I guess Mickey and friends is stuck in the preschool prison in the next hundreds of years! Warren Spector, I have something to say to you.......<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VDMqZB10o8o?rel=0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

How is it Warren Spector's fault? He worked really hard on this game. This article offers an extensive look into the amount of work and detail that went into the project.
