Everyone, please take note of the new title of this thread and read the first page. But of course, if some of you are just plain lazy and don't want to click "1", I'll re-iterate what it says:
DO NOT COME HERE TO POST HOW MANY POSTS YOU HAVE.
A milestone should be something you are very proud of, not a number.
Anyways, in keeping with the new Milestone Thread, here's a great-but-lengthy-in-explanation milestone I had last night:
I was working at Thunder Popcorn, Popcorn 9, doing the closing shift which for me was 5:45 to 1:45. But they decided that instead of having me opened during Extra Magic Hour (which that night was 12 am to 3 am), that they'd pull me at 9. I didn't know that, though, and when Ola came to give me my break at 8:20 (she ran over to get here before the parade, I went to the Splash Mountain break room and came back to my wagon about a half hour later. There, I find Ola and Jimbo already closing my wagon, and Ola goes to relieve another popcorn stand while Jimbo and I have to take the long way back to the garage (the long way being from Frontierland to Liberty Square to Fantasyland to Tomorrowland to the garage since Mainstreet would be too crowded). Anyway, Jimbo's behind me pushing the soda cart and I have to walk in front of him yelling at the guests "Excuse us, folks, pardon us, please!" in such a loud manner (which I'm not very good at. I can't yell at people). So about 10 minutes later we get to the garage, and I do my dry stock and drink count then go back to my wagon to clean it up. I finish cleaning my wagon at about 10:30 or so, and I call my manager to let her know, so that I can be "walked" (essentially, they look over to see it's clean).
Now, normally, when you call the manager, you should be about 85% done, that way when they get to you, you're still cleaning and they know you're cleaning. But I always call once I'm finished, because I'd rather be finished and be able to stand outside my cart and talk to guests. And that's just what I did. Once I was finished, I called Cindy, then went to the front of my wagon to talk to the guests. There was this nice couple and the mother (as in she was the mother of either the man or the woman), and the three had been standing at my wagon the entire time I was cleaning because they were waiting for the kids to get off of Big Thunder Mountain. At first, they would occassionally ask me a question which I'd answer, then continue cleaning.
Then, this other couple came up to me and asked "How do I get to Space Mountain from here?". So I give them long detailed descriptions of how to get there, then they leave. The three peeps (couple + mother) ask me "What do you do when someone's lost?", which I answer, and eventually I end up just chatting with them for the longest time.
Anyways, we're having a good old time chatting about Disney and such and their kids get off the ride, so they can go now. We say goodbye and such and they thank me for all the information I gave them, including their plans for dinner tonight (Ohana at the Polynesian). As soon as they leave, I continue standing outside my wagon, giving guests information and such if they come to me (or if I come to them as some come to the wagon just for the light and I just help them with their map).
Cindy and Melissa (manager and manager-in-training) finally came to my wagon just as I was giving guests directions to Frontier Mercantile and The Trading Post, since they wanted to buy hats but not the ones at the Briar Patch. Cindy was especially proud that I was actually standing outside my wagon talking to guests. She said that even though we're told on the first day to do that, nobody ever does. Anyway, she and I were talking about how I was talking with the guests (particularly the couple + mother for a half-hour), while Melissa inspected my wagon. They finish, and it's about 11:45 now (yeah, it took that long for them to get to Thunder Popcorn), and Cindy says she'll change my time for me so I can go, but I tell her I'm here till 1:45. She asks if I would still like to go anyway, and I tell her no, I might as well stay and help at the garage.
Anyway, Cindy and Melissa then go inspect other carts while I go back to the garage to help, and I end up unloading five drink carts. At 1:20 or so, Melissa and Cindy have come back and Melissa comes over and tells me to come to the office. At first I think, "Am I in trouble?", and I ask, and Melissa says, "No, definitely not." Anyways, when I get to the office, Cindy is there, along with Liz, the big boss (well, of Foods). Melissa then presents me with a "Great Service Fanatic" card, essentially a "We, the higher-ups, recognize that you gave outstanding service today and that makes us proud and we want to let you know that". It was for the fact that I was out talking with the guests and I had a squeaky-clean cart. Woohoo!
So that's my milestone, my very first Great Service Fanatic card.

No. It really isnt interesting that some people seem to be able to post at the rate of 100 a week including 10 posts to this very thread. All it is doing is wasting bandwith that Luke is paying for out of his own pocket.

I was going to come here and say this was my 800th post but I guess I'm not allowed to anymore but too late. Anyhow, that was a very nice story Escapay. I'm glad to hear that you're doing well with your job but why don't you call us anymore? We would love to hear about the stuff going on done there and not have to wait to see it here. But Congratulations all the same
!

That's very cool, Escapay, and exactly the kind of thing that makes everyone so proud of WDW cast members. Congrats and good job!

The one after 909
I've come here to spew ratios and count to 10
And i'm all out of ratios
The Beatles
Lennon McCartney
Let It Be
A one. a two. a three
My baby said she's trav'ling on the one after 909
I said move over honey, I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 909.
I begged her not to go and I begged her on my bended knees,
You're only fooling around you're fooling around with me.
I said move over once, move over twice!
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 909.
I got my bag, run to the station
Railman says, you've got the the wrong location
I got my bag, run right home (run right home)
Then I find, I got the number wrong!
Weeeell she said she's trav'ling on the one after 909
I said move over honey I'm traveling on that line
I said move over once, move over twice
Come on baby don't be cold as ice.
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 9-O,
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 9-O,
Said she's trav'ling on the one after 9-O-Niiiine.
