Nah ah. That's Ron and Lavender Brown.Dottie wrote:And was that a kiss between Hermione and Ron?
That was a very cool teaser. Besides the funny ending, I really liked Harry's "Fight back, you coward!" Unfortunately, based on the test screening reports, the famous answer to this line isn't as intense as it is in the book. Still, I'm really excited (Quidditch is back!). This teaser helps soften the blow from the delay a little bit.

I'm still praying and hoping that one day maybe the whole movie will be leaked.
-Dumbledore's hand looks amazingly dead. Awesome!
-The sky view of the castle is GREAT. I always look forward to new camera angles of Hogwarts.
-Bellatrix dancing in front of Hagrid's Hut. xD
-It looks like they draped the Quidditch Field again after Cuaron stripped it in the third movie!
-Draco's Narnia cameo.

Otherwise, interesting trailer. I haven't really been excited for the Harry Potter films since the third one (though the fourth is probably my favorite), but this one has me a bit more interested than the others.

So, Half-Blood Prince has received a PG rating, yet it claims to be "The darkest Harry Potter film yet."
Is anyone else slightly angry at its rating? I definitley would have hoped it could have merrited a PG-13.

But at least two of the previous HP movies have been PG-13, so I wouldn't necessarily say it's about getting kids younger than that to watch.
And I think what we should keep in mind is, that the "real" Harry Potter fans, the ones who had the right age when the books originally came out are now 18 or in their 20s. We are the ones who grew up with Harry Potter, we read them in our teens and by now many of those people are in college or have already graduated.
Those kids who are 12 or younger now might not be the real Harry Potter kids anymore who would watch the movie since they were like 5 years old when the first movie and the fourth book came out.
I guess they now have the right age to read the books and watch the movies, so I don't think Warner has to worry about the audience younger than 13.
Now, the point I actually wanted to make is that, yes, it does worry me that HP 6 got a PG rating and not a PG-13. There was some pretty cruel and gory stuff in the sixth book and I can't imagine what the film would be like (and the two DHs following especially) if some of that was cut or toned down.

Well... it's not like you'll be able to get a refund if you leave after Dumbledore's death, is it? I don't think your ire will matter that much to Warner Bros.PeterPanfan wrote:If they tame down the Dumbledore death, sectumsempra, or any of the kisses, I'll leave the theatre

I don't get the outrage... as long as the movie is good who cares what it is rated? All the movies have been rated PG in Canada so this is no big deal to me.
Sectumsempra has already been confirmed to be in the movie and Dumbledore's death isn't that frightening of a scene anyways.
Maybe the MPAA has finally lightened up and realized stuff isn't as bad for children as they seem to think... That or the producers just screwed with stuff like they have the past 5 films? Either way, no hair off my ass. The movie will be just as crappy in PG as it would be in PG-13.

*bumps this thread* well here's some news that'll hopefuly please everybody. According to a news blog there's already alterations to the plot being made. Again Wikipeida labeld the source of the news.
There are a number of changes from the book in the film. Much of the book's ending has been changed, with the climatic battle and Dumbledore's funeral being removed. Heyman commented that the end battle was removed to "[avoid] repetition" with the forthcoming adaptation of Deathly Hallows.
The funeral was removed as it did not fit with the rest of the film.
The collapse of a Muggle bridge mentioned briefly in the book serves as the film's opening sequence.
An attack on the Burrow by Bellatrix Lestrange and werewolf Fenrir Greyback was added, as can be seen in the trailers. All but two of the memory scenes, including that of the Gaunts, have been cut. Only the flashbacks of Tom Riddle at the orphanage and Riddle asking Slughorn about Horcruxes (shown twice) remain.
Yates said they made the decision to compress the memories, but still have some really cool ones.
Characters who are cut include the Dursleys, Kreacher, Dobby, and the Muggle Prime Minister. However, Quidditch[74], being excluded from the previous film, returns.
and here's a new teaser poster for the film too

When has it been confirmed? I know he's supposed to be back for "Deathly Hallows", but IMDb's cast list for HBP doesn't feature Toby Jones (voice of Dobby). Maybe it's just a cameo?PeterPanfan wrote:It's already been confirmed that Dobby will be in Half-Blood Prince.
Poster's good, but I hate that "HP6" logo. Was it too much of a problem to put the actual title?

He's not in HBP. The Elves and the Battle are the only things that aren't in the movie. Eveything else(shortened) is.mooky_7_sa wrote:When has it been confirmed? The cuts:
Dursleys
Dobby and Kreacher
The Prime Minister(possibly, to be replaced with the millennium bridge collapsing)
Memories of Tom Riddle as an adult(maybe a quick verbal explanation will fill in the gaps)
the Battle(makes sense, as it focuses the climax on Harry and Dumbledore and has full license to create more suspense, especially if they show the Death Eaters sneaking into Hogwarts unopposed.)
Dumbledore's Funeral(either budgetary reasons, or something else. Replaced by a brief scene of the Trio in front of his grave)
The additions:
Lucius Malfoy as a Portrait(in what might be a sneak of Malfoy Manor)
An attack on the Burrow(approve by Jo, herself, so how can I not approve?)
Oh, and some new BTS material can be found. I'll post a link as soon as I can.
