I know that probably no one has a Nielsen box (considering there are only 5000 I think), but still, as many people as possible have to watch and maybe "by accident" somebody does have a Nielsen box. ABC has to see that there is support for the show.
Thanks Amy, for DVRing it, however I think you would definitely enjoy Pushing Daisies. Our tastes are kind of the same and Pushing Daisies is so sweet and lovable, I am sure you would like it, so just try it.

Dammit, dammit, dammit.
I was expecting low numbers since ABC hadn't aired Pushing Daisies for two weeks and did not promote it at all, but that low.
Pushing Daisies is one of the most perfect shows to ever enter the TV world and I would be really, really sad if ABC does cancel it and mad at ABC for ruining it.
Maybe we can convince Warner Brothers who produce it to move it to another network, like they did with Friday Night Lights.

I've actually never seen an episode of "Pushing Daisies" (mainly because I'm busy on Wednesdays and generally don't watch TV that night) but it does look intriguing. Is the DVD worth a blindbuy (UD gave it a 4.25/5)? Dottie? Panfan?

If you don't mind sweet romance, very witty dialogue, quirky characters and a Tim Burton-esque/Amélie setting with occasional musical performances a blind-buy might be a good idea.
Plus, the first season is pretty cheap at 19$ at amazon.com for all 9 episodes.
Since you like Doctor Who a lot and rom/coms I think you're gonna like Pushing Daisies.

Cool, it's only $19? On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rank it, Dottie? Like, taking into account the rewatchability of the episodes, value of the bonus features, etc. Cause I've had some blindbuy TV shows on DVD where I thoroughly enjoyed it the first time around, but never really cared much for second or third viewings (like "Commander in Chief", which I thoroughly enjoyed on TV, enjoyed again when I reviewed the DVDs, but couldn't really get into it again after that). I read Kelvin's UD review so I have that to go by, but I wouldn't mind a few more second opinions, especially from fans of the show (who likely have already rewatched the episodes). Of course, I don't know if you have the DVD, but if you did...Dottie wrote:If you don't mind sweet romance, very witty dialogue, quirky characters and a Tim Burton-esque/Amélie setting with occasional musical performances a blind-buy might be a good idea.

BOYCOTT ABC!
They don't have anything on worth watching now anyway...
Maybe, just maybe, PD will move to another network.
Comics don't really seem to be the answer for this one, I could live with a movie, I guess...
For me, everything I love about the show would be lost in the comic format. The narrator, the vibrant colors, the actors and their chemistry with each other, the guest stars, the music, etc... The comic might have the stories, but that is only a small fraction of what makes the show.

Though I've never posted in this thread, I would like to add that I too am very upset that this show has been cancelled
I should have figured, however, because it was original AND well written, so naturally it wouldn't last. It was right up my alley design and mood wise, and it will be sorely missed.
