Yup...the slight tilt is seen on the CRT TV (vs. Flat Screen LCD) with both DVD players running Disc 2 of More SS.
There's also a slight difference (sharper picture/brighter color) between a plain vanilla DVD player and a Progressive scan player on the CRT TV. Not much difference when viewed on the LCD TV.
I've been flamed elsewhere for calling an LCD TV a "television." Seems it's a sacrilege...and should be called a "monitor" or something fancier.
Well, at least it's not just me. I didn't think I was crazy. I experienced the same thing in my living room (Sony Progressive Scan 5-Disc Carousel DVD player and Sony 32" Flat Screen CRT HD TV) and upstairs in the bedroom (Samsung single-disc Progressive Scan DVD player and Sony 24" WEGA Standard-Definition Flat Screen CRT TV). Both are connected with component video cables. I checked other WDT cartoon discs, and none exhibited the same symptoms. Let's hope this is worked out on the reissues.
I have a question regarding the replacement program of the silly symphony vol. 2 dvds.
I'm from germany and would like to replace the discs but I don't want to call them (because it might be to expensive). Is there an e-mail address I can write to?
Furthermore I'd like to know if it's possible to replace the discs when I live in a country like Germany...

I think they're only doing it over the phone, mainly because they want ask you a few questions about where you bought it and where you live and so forth.
At least with the time difference you can probably pick a time to call when it's business hours in the US, but off-peak rates in Germany.
Furthermore I'd like to know if it's possible to replace the discs when I live in a country like Germany...
It should be. I'm in Australia and they were happy to put me down on the list for when the replacements discs are ready.

There doesn't seem to have been any news yet. The Disney website is still listing early March. I think we're getting quite late into early March at this point...
I'm waiting until after Easter until I call them again.

Thanks MK for posting the link to the website, cause i was wondering what the contact number was to get the replacements
have a great night
Be sure to look for me this summer very briefly in Predators
Yes, they are taking names and addresses for when they make replacement discs. Fortunately, I only needed one of the discs to be replaced, and not both.

They have officially decided to replace the TLAs? That's news to me. I know the Silly Symphonies are due any day now, but I never heard any confirmation on the TLAs.
Under normal circumstances, this post would go in the Off-Topic section, but I saw the Ultimate Superman Collection box mentioned several times in this thread, so I wanted to give this heads-up:
Warner Home Video has announced what people should look for to identify the newly-modified USC set(with the correct mono track on "Superman: The Movie" Disc 1 and the correct "Superman III" Deluxe Edition), due out on May 29th.

Nope, the only ones to go out so far were the TLA's vol. 1 & 4. Strange how these made it out the door first, when the WDT replacement was "officially" announced by Disney long ago.
Though, if the hold-up is because Leonard is writing us all letters, then I'm happy to wait!
