Sure, give me a few I will make a preview now. Allthough I am going to re do parts of this cover later and a bunch of my earlier covers. Mainly special features boxes/layouts and the synopsis layouts.

subtitles?

you mean like critic quotes?

If thats what your talking about then the answer is: Because those and barcodes are 2 things I do not like about retail covers. I dont need to know what stupid critics say about covers, if I wanted to know then I would go read their reviews.

To me they distract from the artwork of a cover, especially when used on the fronts of covers... all they do is take up more space that makes less room for other important stuff like special features and synopsis and what not. Same goes for barcodes...

Um, I love your art, but I noticed you got the rating wrong on the Bug's Life cover. ;)

ok here is what I finished working on tonight

I would have used alternate art for the front but I could only find this. Maybe down the road when and if I can get my hands on other material I will swap the poster on the front. I am pleased with the back though

I have about 3-4 other posters for this one, maybe later I will do a v2 and possibley a v3 of this cover :)

OK heres mickeys house of villains, this was the only artwork available.. I actually like it but I needed to make this cover anyway to match my collection. I need to go back and re-arange some of the logos on the back, after looking at this preview I noticed I didnt like the layout of the logos... allways happens after I finish it!

The only thing different about the retail artwork and the way I pulled it off on my cover is I completely placed the logo behind ursula, on the retail parts of it are behind and parts of it are in front, thats the one thing that bothered me..

LOL I know.. but thanks for pointing it out anyway just in case..

Its still a work in progress and I forget what template I had used for it but whichever one I used had that rating. It will be updated when I finish the cover.. look out for updates, I also got the retail artwork for this finally so I will be doing 2 versions of the cover since some people on my site dont like dot enough to have her on the front, I think shes adorable!

Nonono I mean subtitles (i.e. The Little Mermaid II - Return to the Sea, the Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure) I know it’s mostly sequels but it’s important (at lest I think it is)

LOL uhm the sequels are finished. If I do a cover for a movie that has a sequel I allways make a cover for the sequel and prequel and so on.

Some titles I have not yet started but 101 dalmatians 1 and 2 is done, the little mermaid 1 and 2 are done, and im not sure wich others but a lot of them are done.

:D

those are some really great covers, I was wondering if you guys can maybe make me some......... please? one for Beauty and the Beast with the front cover looking like the orginal soundtrack cover and another for The Little Mermaid with the front cover a screen capture of the last moment in "Part of Your World" where she sings: "love to explore that shore above of...." the one where she is looking up at the whole in her grotto with her hand outstretched :D

I am quite confused, isn't that the exact cover art/back cover as the original DVD :?

Well the front is from the DVD release...but the back cover came from the 1997??video release. I like it! The cover art on the second release is better than the video

ok well what i am saying is that for The Little Mermaid II - Return to the Sea you put The Little Mermaid II for the Lion King II: Simba's Pride you put the Lion King II and for 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure you put 101 Dalmatians II so i am asking were is Return to the Sea,Simba's Pride,Patch's London Adventure on the cover as that is part of the title

Ok now I understand. I felt they were unnecessary in my designs. I never really like the super ultra long titles.. Thats whats great about custom covers, and especially designing them yourself. I like to change things I dont like and well thats one of those things I dont like. It gos with the flow of my designs on the spines.. I like the titles on the shelf to flow nicely especialy between sequels, and with disney sometimes they change the fonts and style of the logos. That bothers me, so some titles where they did that I have just changed or made my own custom logos, but for most of these they all have the original logos.

Its the same artwork but the original un scanned artwork with out the logos, I get all the original artwork and logos in very high quality, the same stuff the studios use except I lay it out differently or use different artwork in some cases. But in this case for the first title that was the only poster available. You can tell the difference between mine and the retail because on the retail it has a banner and mine doesnt...

heres the retail front

Heres my latest creation, started and finished it today..

Snow Dogs using alternate poster art with custom matching background blended in with the poster. I went a lil crazy with the doggy foot prints :o) This is one of my fav Cuba Gooding movies ever. And these are my favorite breed of dogs ever! Anyway let me know what you think... :)

I wonder if indianajp would like that (then again, I'm only assuming since his avatar is of the movie's cover! ;))

Daelex, great creativity on the cover! Especially the bones! 8)
