The Emperor's New Groove: The New Groove Edition
Regardless of the fact that it isn't looking to be that great of a release, I will still be getting it for two reasons:
1) It will be in anamorphic widescreen (The current 1 disc version isn't, which really bothers me)
2) The packaging will be more in line with the rest of my disney features. Something both current editions are not (As I've said in past posts, consistency is one of my things, so having something that stands out like a sore thumb really drives me up the wall)

Does anyone else will buy this DVD?
by the way, did you noticed that TENG movie story has not been as good as anyone would expect of a Disney movie?
I mean, is not realy one of the most remembered or apreciated movies, it have no songs, is not one of Disney best movies...and maybe a lame-sale rate with hit´s new dvd release...

It may not be classed as a "classic", but it most certainly is one of the best of the modern Disney efforts (Behind only Lilo and Stitch, imo). It's very funny, and is able to stand on it's own without songs, I personally love it.Isidour wrote:Does anyone else will buy this DVD?![]()

It may not be considered a classic now, but 5 years from now, I bet people will be saying "Oh man, that movie rocked!"

i havn't met anyone who doesn't like it. i think it'll be a late blomer and everyone will apprieciate it later on.
i think i will be one of the probably only one of us that is actually going to buy this DVD. and this is my reasoning...
1. i havn't seen the CE in stores for years now
2. i don't feel like getting a credit card just to buy it over the internet
3. i buy a movie for the movie and not exactly for the special features. i mean the special features are an awesome plus but they wont stop me from buying a movie i enjoy, i just find that silly.
4. it'll fit in with the rest of my collection
5. it HAS to be better than the regular edition is, and that's all i can find!
i think the only thing that could ruin it now is if it is actually going to be a single disc release. if this is true then i think that would be very cheap of the disney company and i would pay someone back for letting me use their credit card to get the CE somehow!

As far as I know, we still haven't gotten confirmation that this will be a reissue of the 1-disc release. Why is everyone saying that? Unless I'm missing some news, it hasn't been confirmed as a 1 or 2 disc release.
The press release is bound to add more bonus features. Look at Tarzan's fact sheet; it was confirmed to have two discs and it has next to nothing on the fact sheet. Wait a while, we'll see what kind of release this is soon.

I hope this'll be a 2-disc set. I don't own The Emperor's New Groove but I want to! I'll probably buy this either way considering I don't actually own the film, but 2 discs would be nice
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
