Much better this way to really recognize Flotsam, Jetsam and Triton Because I can see the whole artwork now, I begin to like it. Before... not so much in the little form
I love it. Thankfully, they all blend well together and there's no floating heads. Probably because it's The Little Mermaid and people need to see a mermaid and not just a head.
It's my favorite DE cover along with BATB and Peter Pan
Well obviously waiting on it to be finalised, but I do really like this cover as it stands. As I said in the other thread, it looks like a cross between Ariel's Beginning and the French Platinum cover.
Yes, I like the cover, even with the minor issues (I'd prefer a blue-ish background). My biggest gripe is still that they should put something the background to the left of Ariel at least. All that empty green looks bad to me. I think I do prefer the Platinum cover, but I love Ariel's pose here.
It still infuriates me that Ursula's earrings and makeup are continuously colored gold and green, respectively. I have no idea who fished that color scheme around Disney marketing, but they seriously suck. She'll be looking like that for the next 25 years on these things.
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
A. It gets changed for the US release.
B. They have a completely different cover for the 3D version (which is the one I'll be buying).
"Hip hop frightens you, doesn't it....Hmmm...Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate leads to endlessly posting threads about stupid white people. Hmmmmm....."
Really surprised see how many n here love the cover... Personally I think it sucks... It's so off-character (and I realize this might not be final art) and just pretty bare, and not in a minimalistic cool way... I was really hoping they'd give us the original poster art like the first mock-up we saw... Peter Pan could be the turn-around for amazing cover art but I guess not...
Ultimately, I like the cover. Yes, it's not particularly classy and is geared towards kids, but it's no worse than the Platinum. There will surely be some deluxe Collector's Edition, Digital Copy, or (dare I say it) 3D Edition, and that will likely have a cover more akin to the Peter Pan Digital Copy edition.
