I was wondering if he might be there under that sticker/marking. It was weird to me that they would have Ursula on the cover but not Triton.

I wish they'd change Flounder's face, but Ariel's face doesn't bother me... :?

See, now why didn't they let them use that kind of styling for their little golden book? That looks really nice.

Now THAT is gorgeous. That's what I'm talkin about! If I could marry Brittney Lee's art, I would.

And I totally agree - this is what a Little Golden Book ought to look like.

I like most things about this, but Ariel herself looks ugly this way. I like her hair though.

This is really pretty but Ariel reminds me of Rapunzel.

Much better this way to really recognize Flotsam, Jetsam and Triton :D Because I can see the whole artwork now, I begin to like it. Before... not so much in the little form :)

They put Triton right under the rating logo? Way to go, Disney! -.-

I'm glad the US doesn't have that stupid, huge ass rating logo stuck on every movie they produce.

Anyways, it's good to see Flotsam and Jetsam on the cover because they're my favorite Disney villain sidekicks.

I love it. Thankfully, they all blend well together and there's no floating heads. Probably because it's The Little Mermaid and people need to see a mermaid and not just a head.

It's my favorite DE cover along with BATB and Peter Pan :)

Is it me or does Ariel's face look a lot better?
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

Well obviously waiting on it to be finalised, but I do really like this cover as it stands. As I said in the other thread, it looks like a cross between Ariel's Beginning and the French Platinum cover.

Yes, I like the cover, even with the minor issues (I'd prefer a blue-ish background). My biggest gripe is still that they should put something the background to the left of Ariel at least. All that empty green looks bad to me. I think I do prefer the Platinum cover, but I love Ariel's pose here.

It still infuriates me that Ursula's earrings and makeup are continuously colored gold and green, respectively. I have no idea who fished that color scheme around Disney marketing, but they seriously suck. She'll be looking like that for the next 25 years on these things.

Idk. It just doesn't really wow me. But hopefully

A. It gets changed for the US release.
B. They have a completely different cover for the 3D version (which is the one I'll be buying).

Really surprised see how many n here love the cover... Personally I think it sucks... It's so off-character (and I realize this might not be final art) and just pretty bare, and not in a minimalistic cool way... I was really hoping they'd give us the original poster art like the first mock-up we saw... Peter Pan could be the turn-around for amazing cover art but I guess not...

Ultimately, I like the cover. Yes, it's not particularly classy and is geared towards kids, but it's no worse than the Platinum. There will surely be some deluxe Collector's Edition, Digital Copy, or (dare I say it) 3D Edition, and that will likely have a cover more akin to the Peter Pan Digital Copy edition.
