Re: Frozen: Part III
This is pretty much what we've all estimated already. It's a ridiculously short schedule. I hope the crew can stay on for Big Hero 6.
There's nothing worse than working 7 days a week, only to be laid off after all the hard work.

Always hate to hear about overworked schedules like that. They should just delay it. overstressed animators isnt going to help the quality of the film or of their own lives.

I actually really like that! Or something like 'Vorstelijk'.robster16 wrote:If they have to use a dutch word as the title then maybe "Vorst" might be a good translation, which both stands for frost and royal leader, even though it's the male equivalent. Otherwise de Sneeuw Koningin wouldnt be too bad as most people here know and love the fairytale!PatrickvD wrote:I wonder what the Dutch title will be. Tangled was changed to Rapunzel (both Dutch and English language versions of the film were called 'Rapunzel'). I wouldn't put it past them to call it 'The Snow Queen'. Or De Sneeuw Koningin if they do go with Dutch.
I have a feeling the title will be the Duch equivalent of 'The Snow Queen' though. However, they might slightly change it, since 'Tangled' was called 'Rapunzel' here, even though the Dutch name for Rapunzel (the character) was Raponsje.
I guess we'll have to wait to find out

Re: Frozen: Part III
While I'm pretty much over the whole Tangled/Rapunzel thing by now (as in, at this point my brain associates "Tangled' with the film), it's still a little irritating about the fact that international countries get the "real" title. And now that they're doing it again with "The Ice Queen" (which I personally like better than "the Snow Queen"), it's kind of bringing up old feelings of "DAMMIT DISNEY!"
Say "Ice Queen" five times fast and it sounds like you're saying "ice cream" in a little baby voice

I have practically gotten used to the title being Frozen.I believe its kinda of making a moutain out of a molehill because of the change in title.

So glad to see that they're using actual animals as reference, just like they did in Lion King and BambiSotiris wrote:Source: http://pbcbstudios.blogspot.com/2013/03 ... tches.htmlPaul Briggs wrote:A reindeer visited the studio today for reference for Frozen. Actually, that was the only thing I've thought.... NOW they're doing the reference research??!!Edthehyena wrote:Am i the only one to be so shocked they start drawing Sven ONLY NOW !!!!!!! ?????
I want to think that Sven is a very very secondary character, and now they're getting into his sequences but...
I still think it's very strange. The visual references usually are taken in the pre-production stage of any animated film :/

True. I really think they do it with all animals. Unless the animals are anthropomorphic to the degree of characters like Chicken Little or Robin Hood.
Also, it's not so weird that they're doing this now. I mean, yes the character design is locked, but animation is starting now, so they need movement reference now, not a year ago.

Re: Frozen: Part III
Here some pieces of recent conversation from twitter, Bobby speaks about the Elsa character with a worried friend of his, Liz, and what he says is comforting....
Elizabeth Garland @THE_LizGarland 13 Mars
Hoping the title character in "Frozen" is a true stereotype of an "ice queen" & intimidating/mysterious as the original novel!
Robert Lopez @lopezbobby 13 Mars
Our story is a big departure (as you can tell from the synopsis) but the character is still mysterious and icy.

Well, I hope so, because from the only image Elsa we've seen, I can only image another friend of Tinker Bell... =(Edthehyena wrote:Here some pieces of recent conversation from twitter, Bobby speaks about the Elsa character with a worried friend of his, Liz, and what he says is comforting....

Re: Frozen: Part III
I agree. That character didn't look "mysterious" in any way.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
