Thanks for the info, Kyle! I wonder who the other toys in the collection are gonna be!

Yeah, I've been wondering if we were going to see a cheaper version of Mr. Potatohead that would, ironically, be way more accurate, probably without the leg issue and possibly with the compartment and separate eyes even! That would be both cool and kind of annoying at the same time.

Anyway, well, I went to Toys R Us once again today to check on the Jessie/Bullseye/Harmonica/Lotso/Barbie & Ken situation. My mom had given me a coupon for 10 dollars off a 50 dollar transaction, so I've been hoping to find Jessie before it expires on the 16th. Still nothing, they they said maybe Friday. I kinda wonder if these aren't coming out till June 1st though, since I believe someone posted that Disney Store won't be selling them till then? Anywho, I ended up using my coupon after all anyway! They surprisingly did have a bunch of the Ken/Barbie 2 packs in stock, which they didn't have Monday (only plenty of solo TS3 Barbies). I picked one up, and then I found the Peter Pan book with Mary Blair art also, in a TRU exclusive autographed version, and so to use my coupon I also picked up Etch! I totally didn't expect to get Etch until a LONG time from now, but he was basically almost free with that coupon. Anyway, so the Barbie set is kinda cool and disappointing at the same time. The faces of the characters in the film are '80's style Barbie and Ken I believe, and though they try to match the hair, these ones still have modern faces and even their outfits are a bit different. They clearly didn't want Ken to look as silly as in the film (though a little silly, as it was unavoidable) and Barbie's outfit is all shimmery. Plus, the single version comes with gym bag and water bottle I believe, and the two-pack has a picture of her holding those items on the back too, but it doesn't actually come with them! False advertising there! Oh well. At the moment, it's the only way to get the Toy Story Ken. I'm glad to have them, though it's tempting to Ebay some '80's Ken and Barbies and put these outfits on them. But, after dropping 25 plus on this pair, I'll just be annoyed if more accurate versions ever come out. I don't expect any to though.

And while I'm still watching for the other Toy Story toys I mentioned, though my income is majorly dwindling until I find a new job, I am going to try very hard to stick to my guns and not get Lotso until after seeing the film. Might be difficult though. I also wish I could find the Woody's Round Up CD in stores. I could swear I saw regularly somewhere until very recently, but it must have been at the Hastings store that just closed down, because I haven't run into it again since I've been wanting to buy it (that's always the way...). I will have to get it online sometime, I guess, but I hate that because I have no card for it.

Your not getting separate eyes, it would be a choking hazard. theres a reason Hasbro doesnt do it either. I definitely see the feet problem being fixed though.

Oh, is that why they don't do separate eyes? Ha, that's dumb. I had one with separate eyes when I was a kid. Some kids are just going to choke. It's inevitable.

Anybody seen Jessie or Lotso yet in the stores? I checked my Target to find nothing but plenty of Buzz, Woody, and Potato Head. I also saw the aliens in a single-pack. It was odd, but I purchased one despite having the TSC aliens, I just love the aliens a lot and wanted another one. It's basically the same as the TSC ones, except they are much easier to squeeze. They still don't squeak sadly but they are not made of the hard plastic the TSC ones have. I guess that makes them even more accurate than the TSC ones?

It seems Disney is shipping Jessie now if you buy her at their website. She is around $68 with standard shipping. That's probably $18-25 more than what the retail would have her as. For me though, my Toys R Us is about an hour away and I'd have to make an entire day out of going there. I don't have much free time so I'm thinking about getting her through the website.

You can also get Lotso at Amazon right now, but it appears Target is the one shipping it.

Jessie is on amazon too, but still listed as "out of stock" :( http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Pixar-TS3- ... 4IT0YC7DXL

I'd like to order her from amazon, just because of the cheap price and no shipping and no tax, but if I see her in the stores I'll get her then (and then I won't have to wait, either).

I'll be going to the mall in one week to get Super Mario Galaxy 2 ( :D :D :D ) and there's a Toys R Us, a Target, AND a Disney Store down that way, so maybe I'll get lucky and find her at one of those stores.

Does anyone else think that Jessies Certificate of Authenticity should say "Toy Story 2" on it, since she wasn't in the first one, the way Lotso's says "Toy Story 3" on it?

I GOT JESSIE!!!

She came today from Disneystore.com I could have gotten her for less at retail but my Toys R Us and Disney Store are just too far away, and it may take a while for her to get to retail, besides who knows just how long it will take for Amazon to get it lol.

Here are some pictures:

I really wish they would have made her waist thinner, its my only real complaint about her from what Ive seen. I wonder how it would look if someone who knew how to sew could take in her back seam or something.

I assume it's because of the battery pack... Anyways, thanks for posting those pics! Can't wait to get one! Will be one of my last purchases before I am out of work and broke indefinitely, ha, assuming I find her before my funds are depleted. Hope I can land a Bullseye too...

Jessie is actuallly more thin than I expected. Her pullstring is also very small, it's like half of the TSC Woody. I honestly am more bothered by Jessie's hair, it feels way too short. The real Jessie it was long and flowing and this one barely goes beyond the shoulders.

Its not, the mattel one has a voice/battery box and still has a thin waist.

and yeah, the short hair bothers me too, but that seems like something that could be either ignored (since its in the back) or corrected with some yarn extensions, heh.

Y'know, if I don't find Jessie soon I think I may have to get her from the Disney website and just pay the extra! She's really awesome!!

EDIT: I was just reading on another forum that Joan Cusack did NOT do the voice for this doll... can you confirm that? I mean, it sounded a lot like Joan on the non-TSC doll, I don't know why they wouldn't have gotten her for the legit TSC version.

I am not very fond of her hair length either. I'm thinking though, when I bought my aliens, there is variation with the green paint getting into the white eye a bit. Maybe for Jessie, the toy manufacturers did not sit and measure that each Jessie have the same hair length, just close to it. So hopefully there might be some with a tad big longer yarn.

Good point about the hair!! Hopefully some have longer hair as that's the only real inaccurate part of her.

You know, it's hard to say if it's Joan or not doing the voice. When I first heard Jessie my first thought was, "Hmmm, that doesn't sound like Jessie." But then after a while it sounded like her. I'd say the best way to describe it is the same as the TSC Woody: you can tell it's a different voice but it's similar enough that it doesn't bother you. It should not be a reason to not get it, it's a really well-done toy.

Also, Disney Store's website charges $10-15 more than what retail does, and they charge for shipping and tax. It came to $73 for me which was also standard shipping (although it only took 3 days to get to me). If the Disney Store or Toys R US wasn't so far a way and if I didn't have such an intense love for Toy Story and this Collection I'd have waited!! But there are reports of Jessie popping up at Toys R Us now so you may want to wait.

i was having a play with the talking buzz instore the other day. theres no way its tim allens voice. whoever it is, is quite close, but not close enough for me. that and the $80NZD price tag is enough for me to leave him behind.

No, that is Tim without a doubt. He has a very distinctive voice, and he's the one guy you can count on to play his character, because frankly he doesn't have much of a career these days. He didn't do the Toy Story treats back in the day, but that was when he had home improvement still going. These days he almost always does Buzz's voice, for movies, games, toys, tv spots, you name it. Tom might be too busy to too expensive, but not Tim.

Based on what Ive heard of Jessie in youtube videos, I want to say its Joan cusack but cant be sure. one thing to keep in mind is that the speaker distortion might obscure the voice, for better or worse. its this reason that I don't think I mind Jim Hanks doing the Woody toy, because after distortion its pretty much spot on. only a few lines sound off to me.

back to Jessie though, I think part of why we might not easily recognize her is her general tone. we're used to hearing her in two modes, the overly excited shouting/yodeling Jessie, or the depressed slower speaking Jessie. what we didn't really get much of was a casual "lets be friends" voice from her, which makes up a lot of her phrases.

i didnt think it sounded gravelly enough. but then, he was in a box, so gotta take that into account as well. guess it also helps that im not a big buzz fan. prefer bullseye, lol.
