I have to say she shouldn't be on there. I am still growing up with Miley and she doesn't deserve the spot. Did she become the most influential artist of this time period. As far as I know she isn't that person. Will Miley have a career after Disney. Think of that for a minute. After Disney have any of their teenage stars make something of themselves. Hilary Duff is making mediocre music and small roles in independent films.Everyone from Even Stevens except Shia Labeouf is dead in the entertainment business. Raven Symone is desperately trying to hold on to Disney. Most people from High School Musical are done for. Miley is just going to become on of the stars that started out strong but eventually died in the business. So you are saying she should be honored like presidents,Elvis,Martin Luther King, and above all Michael Jackson then I am afraid you have to get your brain checked.

Maybe you should take your own advice. I am speaking the truth. It might not be what you want in your world but it is the ugly truth whether you like it or not. I personally like Miley Cyrus. See I just said it I think her acting could be better but she is a great singer. But she hasn't done enough to deserve a place with the best. And this is my own opinion WDWLocal. Saying I should show courtesy and respect is telling yourself. I am entitled to my own opinion and you should be courteous and respect that. And to think I thought of you as a friend. My faultWDWLocal wrote:Zackie, your overly-negative and mean-spirited comments are totally uncalled for.
Stop being discriminatory and learn to show courtesy and respect!

Its like comparing the Jonas Brothers to The Beatles.
Miley is nothing more than a tool for Disney. Even when she IS Miley Cyrus. Until she can break away from Disney and be on her own, she is nothing more than another Disney character, she just doesn't wear a bulky mask.
Those are just more unfair comparisons and only further pathetic attempts to demonize someone you don't know for no reason.
Pathetic.
Can you please not call someone (or their comments I don't know which you meant) pathetic for having an opinion other than yours? We've been explaining to you why we are saying these things, and we've also all been saying how we don't care about the wall and all you've been doing is telling us we're wrong without explaining Miley Cyrus's merit for being featured on that so-called "hall of icons". Stop telling us not to have an opinion over somebody we don't know because you have formed one as well. I understand you are a fan and you have a high opinion of Miley, but you need to show some "webiquette", if you do not agree with us feel free to tell us why before throwing the words "dirsrespectful" and "pathetic" and convince us why we're wrong, if you fail to do so, we'll just have to agree to disagree. The_Iceflash has been disagreeing with us and have been carrying a perfectly respectful conversation.
Anyway, sorry for the rant and feel free to explain why Miley deserves that spot.

I really hope Corbin's career in Broadway is successful because (I'm REALLY sorry Amy) I really doubt he has any HSM pull left in him. And Zac is actually pretty talented *ducks shoe* he just needs a little more showcase space, and I hope his career (which is sadly in a bit of a slump) picks up with Fire. Ashley Tisdale may be quite the TV star if she keeps at it. As for Vanessa...not one but two nude cell-phone photo shoots are too many. All these Disney stars are losing their thunder. Miley lost hers to Taylor Swift, Selenaa Gomez and Demi Lovatto never quite took off (I hope they do, they're pretty adorable), Jonas Brothers are losing their steam and the High School Musical phenomenon's audience picked up on Twilight.
Hopefully this means (although I like some of them) kids are getting smarter about who to follow. Lady Gaga may not be very appropriate but for kids but she has quite the tween following, which is kind of good music wise, I may not be her biggest fan but I gotta admit her music is very good.

Tell us why we should. All this time you have been arguing with all of us and we have been giving reasons why she doesn't deserve to be up there but have you given an explanation. No you haven'tWDWLocal wrote:LEAVE POOR MILEY ALONE, YOU GROWN-UP BULLIES!!!![]()

Correction: she did not do 2 nude photos. She only did 1.rs_milo_whatever wrote:As for Vanessa...not one but two nude cell-phone photo shoots are too many.
The other one is just a big fat lie made up by some journalistic sensationalist loser with way too much time on their hands. All that person did was take the one from the past and modify it!
In the same vein, that whole "Miley Pole-Dancing" bit, among other things, are also nothing more than lies, lies, LIES made up by some heartless paparazzis.
Too bad you folks are falling for these fibs. I thought you all would know better...

Oh my gosh!!
Alright! Two reported or alleged nude photo sets, whatever! I'm pretty sure it's two but alright let's give her the benefit of the doubt, she didn't take as many nude pictures
does that make her classier? Nice going defending her.
Vanessa will get the benefit of the doubt. But I can't let you lie and say Miley's pole dancing number is fabricated, I saw it live! It's not called a paparazzo when it's a live performance. Blown out of proportion? May be, but out of place nonetheless.
Seriously I'm starting to think WDWLocal is Billy Ray Cyrus.

Don't be sorry- it actually kind of bothers me when people market him as "High School Musical's Corbin Bleu"...as much as I <3 HSM, it's like, get over it already- market him as himself, if that makes any sense. And I hope that he gets to continue with Broadway, if it's what he wants...rs_milo_whatever wrote:I really hope Corbin's career in Broadway is successful because (I'm REALLY sorry Amy) I really doubt he has any HSM pull left in him.
(here's a clip montage of him in In the Heights, if anyone cares...:

I am beyond impressed!
And about Miley's "pole-dancing"- if you watch the performance, she dips once; it's not like she keeps on stripper-dipping...just saying!

Yeah, it was kind of blown out of proportion. But...I feel really old fashioned, but that's not very lady-like. I mean, I'm being hypocritical I absolutely love Britney Spears and she performs in a very sexual manner. But I mean we always knew Britney was a more mature performer and people eventually got over her Disney past (although her Disney past was years and years before that)...it's just not what a lady should be doing, and she's supposed to be a clean-cut Hollywood Records "cookie-cutter" pop star, Britney was signed on with Jive, she was never intended for kids, she was always aimed at teenagers.
Whatever label you're on, that's just not very appropriate.
