Definately, it's incredible and even though I haven't travelled as much as others here (hey, I'm 14) it's still my favorite place in the world. If you were to travel here though, I'd recommend going other places in Australia first, like the Great Barrier Reef, Coffs Harbour, coastal places with Incredible beaches.
Sydney is great, but I would come here in the Southern Hemisphere's Summer when the city and the country is really active and hosts big events...everyone seems to be like hermet crabs in Winter.

As for the none-depressing facts, those were the first I could think of, some of them are happy. :)

Depressing Fact #34: In October 2004 my Dad was run over by a police car, knocked 10 metres in the air and crashed into a French Cafe', he was in hospital for a couple of days, but he's all good now...kind of old...but still good.

When I play solitaire I HAVE to put the Aces up in the following order every single time: Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds.

ALWAYS. Every single time. that order...

I dislocated my right elbow when I was 8.
I was kind of screwing around at day care and this kid intentionally tripped me and I flew like 3 feet in the air and landed on my elbow. All I can remember was I'm sitting there and when I tried to push myself back on my feet with my right arm... OUCH!!! It was so painful I was screaming and I couldn't even walk, I just sat there. Man, it was so painful just writing this post is making me cringe and clutch my elbow. My mom took me to the hospital, they gave me some drugs and instead of trying to straighten my arm while I was conscience they took me to the OR and put me to sleep to do it. I was like “thank you for not doing this while I’m still awake!” Then I woke up with a huge honking cast on my arm. That was a lot of fun. ;)

I tried to jump off the roof of my house and fly like Mary Poppins when I was about five. My parents stopped me before I actually jumped.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

I frequently spell the word "attached" with an extra "t", as in "attatched".

Here's some more info on the JM...

*Love cats. Hate most dogs, though all the dogs I know personally are quite cool... then again, none of them are poodles or chihuahuas.

*I can remember seeing The Lion King in theaters when I was 4 1/3 and to this day still consider it my favorite all time Disney movie.

*I have been known to sometimes lie compulsively (I'll thank genetics for that)... but I haven't done it in this thread.

*My favorite cereal is a toss up between Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Apple Jacks. Mainly, I just like cereals that don't taste anything like what the name implies. ;)

*I just set foot in a Blockbuster for the first time since May, and the last time before that was sometime in first quarter 2005.

*My friends are sometimes creeped out by me. I've managed to memorize all their birthdays. I'm quite good with dates.

*I have what some doctors would call a bit of a weight problem.

*Until I entered a live radio contest at 5:35am in August 2005, I'd never won anything in my life.

*Homeschooled my whole life. Hate it.

*I like throwing around the analogy 'my whole life'.

*My mom and her ex used to be pot smoking hippies. :P

*I sometimes have trouble remembering random facts...

*I saw Aladdin in theaters 7 TIMES...It was 7 weekends in a row, 7 times seeing it with the same person. My then boyfriend, by the 4th time, we memorized it.

*I saw Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron 10 times in the theater. 10 weekends in a row. Sometimes both Saturday and Sunday. It was my daughter's first movie in the theater and she loved it, so we milked it for all it was worth and then some.

*December 1st-25th, I no longer go by my real name, Crystal Rodriguez and I go into a baking frenzy. Making cakes, pies, cookies, and brownies. NO BOXED recipes, only from scratch, only the best. From tomorrow through Christmas, I am "Baker Extraordinaire, Keeper of the Electric Mixer, Oven Whore, Giver of the Diabetic Coma, Where The Hell Did I Put My Nuts?, Crystal Crocker. *bows*

I once owned a pet hen as a kid. Unfortunately we had to give her away when we moved.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the only film I've seen three times at the theater.

I read an abridged version of The Wizard of Oz when I was four, but I didn't see the 1939 film till I was 14.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert I went to yesterday (11/29) at Inglewood was the first time I've actually attended a concert. The first time, Dad got lost on the way to the Hollywood Bowl in 1993, and the second time, tickets were sold out for the first Dear Friends: Music From Final Fantasy concert at the Disney Hall in 2004.

I got interested in the Final Fantasy series through Kingdom Hearts.

I didn't go on the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion rides until I was 18.

I've been to Disneyland five times.

I'm the only one in my immediate family who has been to the San Diego Zoo AND the Wild Animal Park.

Maybe, everything I say can't be trusted and my real name is Franklin Lazlo.... I'm pretty.... shifty... :shifty:

Some more random (but true! ;) :P ) facts about me:

*I was adopted at birth, or close to it, by my birth mother's sister, my now-mother.

*Until this year, I had never sat down and watched Titanic all the way through (thought it was overrated). I've never seen Gone With The Wind or Casablanca, despite having family members who love those films.

*I was 14 when I broke my first bone. Some older UDers may remember that.

*The first film I was taken to see was Beauty and the Beast, and since I was only 1 3/4, I cried, LOUDLU, whenever the Beast came on. :|

*I have unpaid parking tickets. *pops open glove compartment, hundreds of tickets fly out* ... :P **

That's all for now.

Cheers,
JM :thumb:

**I had to fit that Jim Carrey reference in somewhere. :D

Oh thank God, I'm not crazy! I totally do that too! Whenever I do it, I'm always telling myself "you should be doing homework, you dirty procrastinator."
But I love it. :D

lol, yeah. It is weird, but I'm not offended. :) I'm actually kind of happy I don't have to explain it deeply like I seem to everytime I bring it up in conversation IRL. :)

:( omg, thats horrible. I suggest you leave your house right now and go there. I've been to Disney World a bunch of times. Even more so now that I live 20 minutes away from it! :D I do hope to go to Tokyo Disney, Disney Land Paris, and Disney Land before I die though.

Oh dear. I'm getting my Christmas spot early this year. I normally get a big red spot on the end of my nose every Christmas (last year was an exception!) However, I seem to be getting this year's now, at the start of December.
