Spider-Man: The 1994 to 1998 series that aired on Fox Kids. I know a few DVDs of this have been put out, but they only have about 5 episodes each. Disney took over the rights to the series [I'm pretty sure] and really needs to put out some box sets. I mean even the Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, from like 2002 or 2003 or something has the entire series out [albeit it's 13 episodes]but I just really want this box set becuase it's my favorite version of Spiderman.

Hm lets see...

TV Shows
-Muppet Babies
-Wuzzles
-Lilo and Stitch (though I managed to PVR the whole series)
-The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Movies
-Song of the South
-So Dear to My Heart (damn you region 2!)
-Lilo and Stitch 2-disc edition (Why was it never released here?)
-Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp (Damn you again region 2! I realize that they have this in the Disney Movie Club, but I can't join since I'm in Canada, plus I'd like to see more bonus features)

I'm sure there are more that I just can't think of at the moment. Man, I've watched alot of TV! Funny thing is looking back through these postings alot of what people wanted has been released on DVD now. I've seen box sets of 90210 and Family Ties for example.

It is as of the Peter Pan release :D Finally something us Canadians get too! I know I can get the DVD that way, I'm just hopeful they'll put out a real release one day with more features than a set-top game. I might get one just to tide me over, although I'm saving up my points for some of the statues they have.

Television Show that need DVD Releases

Post by Jungleprince_55 »

I'm not quite sure if there was already a topic on this but I couldnt find it so I figured I'd start a new one. Most of the shows I've wanted have finally been released, Including those I never thought would ever see a DVD release. but there are still a few I'd love to see Season Sets of:

The Lucy Show - I used to watch this on Nick At Nite back in the 90's when the would show I Love Lucy, The Lucy Desi Comedy Hour, and this on saturday nights I think, It was just as hilarious as any episode of I Love Lucy.

Father Knows Best - I freaking love this show and havent seen it in forever, I would LOVE to have this show on DVD.

The Wonder Years - I used to watch reruns of this every night on Nick At Nite back when they were GOOD. It was one of my favorite shows and I haven't seen it in years, I had a bunch of episodes taped but I have no idea what happened to them.

Oliver Beene - A show that I feel is VERY underrated and was really pissed when it got cancelled. I would LOVE a season set of this.

A couple of my favorite television shows that need to be on DVD would include:

The Equalizer - Edward Woodward and Robert Lansing starred in this CBS hit show and I have all the episodes on VHS transferred to DVD, but it would be nice to have them all 'legally' on DVD. There were only 81 episodes including two two-part episodes - "Mystery of Manon" and "Mission McCall".

Legend - Richard Dean Anderson starred in this short one season series on Fox with John de Lancie. It was a western with a twist, de Lancie played a scientist and inventor and was always coming up with futuristic things to help Legend out of his various situations. Also have these episodes on VHS, but at a very poor SLP speed so that they won't tranfer to DVD very well.

The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!

Well, I'm sure there is already a thread for this, but...

Off the top of my head, some of many shows I'm dying for are:

Honey I Shrunk the Kids The TV show

The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis

Almost every Disney animated TV series (though I don't so much care about a few, like Teacher's Pet, Dave the Barbarian, Buzz on Maggie, and maybe a couple others)

Werewolf the TV series (from the late 80s or the 90s)

Ewoks and Droids

Teen Wolf the animated series

Zorro

All versions of the Mickey Mouse Club

All versions of Disneyland/Wonderful World of Disney/etc...

A complete and excellent rerelease of Sailor Moon, along with the live-action series, though I know there is supposed to be some refusal on the owner's part to release anything for the show anymore. I at least wish past releases would go back into print, because I only got a portion of the DVDs.

The Love Bug TV series

And the ABC TV Halloween movie: The Midnight Hour (along with many unreleased Disney TV movies)

-AAHHH!!! Real Monsters
-Rocko's Modern Life
-Doug
-THE GOOD EPISODES of Rugrats (first three seasons)
-Muppets Tonight! (so that I can see it... I never saw it when it was on TV)

That's really all I can think of for now (and can you tell I'm a big fan of early Nickelodeon? )
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Freakazoid

Mystery Science Theater 3000 (a season by season release, if they could get the rights to the movies)

Zorro (general, not DMC exclusive)

Bump in the Night (13 episodes, how hard could it be to put ONE volume out?)

DARIA - I frickin loved that show man. One of the most funny animated shows ever imo. But MTV sees no point in releasing it. BOOO!

Early Edition - I watched this show a lot. And now that they've stopped airing reruns, I miss it!!

Ah, yes! I want those too! Among others! And I used to love the Family Channel Zorro as a kid, and I vaguely remember a show called Zorro and Son.

Daria, definitely.

And the rest of Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego. The first season's out but it hasn't sold enough for the other seasons to come to DVD...

The Nanny so needs to be continued on DVD. The first two sets were good, but the really great episodes come later in the show's run, especially after what happens on the plane from Paris.

And I'd love to see Season 2-7 of Malcolm in the middle released too.
