Hey, at least that idea is original! And weren't people(as evident on the first page of this thread) whining about Circle 7's Toy Story 3 being a "rehash"?
Anyway, while I loved(or at least really liked) "Little Miss Sunshine" and think Michael Arndt can make the script itself good, I still see the same problem with a concept of a "Toy Story 3". The simple fact being: unless they completely dragged the film or went completely "out there" with the story, there really IS
NO original story they can do. As much as I love this franchise, the fact is there is only so many stories you can make with toys. You'd end up having to make it about bringing new toys, making one of the toys "lost" or have them trying to live in the "outside" world when Andy grows. But wait... ALL of those ideas are "rehashing the last two". And considering how many people whined about Circle 7's being one, we simply can't have that, can we?
I still say the same thing I've been saying for over a year now: a t.v. show is the best bet. Considering there's a bunch of "little" stories they could do(like on the Toy Story DVD, they had those "jokes" of the toys waiting for Andy to come home from school) that can't really be made feature lenght, I think a t.v. show has more potential than a Toy Story 3 ever could.
I'm not bashing it before we've seen it, but I need more to be convinced. And I so far don't see this being worthy of higher anticipation than many of Disney's DTVs.
