Hi there! I'm a huge fan of 'The Little Mermaid' and I can't wait for the prequel! I'm so pleased to know that you're the composer! I loved your score for 'When a Stranger Calls' and for the trailer of 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'!

I'm wondering if you could answer some of my questions:

- When will we see some scoring session photos? Will you also post some mp3 clips?
- Are you responsible for the score for the trailer and for the sneak peek on the official website for 'The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning'?
- Will Disney release a soundtrack for 'The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning'?

One of the songs sounds like Under The Sea.
And Old Fish Tale-We already know that there will be a soundtrack,Jodi Benson already said that there will be.

I wouldn't put my money on it. She said that one or two years ago, so things may have changed. I still love that music, though!!

She said it last year (After the PE came).
I"m sure that there will be a soundtrack (Espically since it's the last sequel).

There will come a soundtrack. Jodi Benson confirmed that in a interview about Enchanted. They asked her if she was going to do something else with Disney, and she told them that she was working on the The Little Mermaid III soundtrack! But it also may have changed.
I still love that music, though!!!

Well, as far as I can remember, TLMII didn't have a soundtrack, and it had around the same number of songs (if not more) than this one. Some were put on compilation CDs, but there was never an official soundtrack released.

But isn't soundtrack also another word for a movie's entire score, both instrumental and vocal?

There was a Little Mermaid II soundtrack,there was all the songs from the film and the rest were songs from a Sebastian CD.

Well guys, I hope there is a soundtrack! But I wouldn't hold my breath. Just 'cause Jodi said "soundtrack" doesn't mean it's confirmed. It just means she recorded the songs.... :lol:

I still want the songs from Cinderella III to be released. I'm hoping they'll release a CD of the songs from Enchanted Tales and maybe they can just throw in the songs from Cindy III (and Mermaid III, if it doesn't get it's own).

Even, though Cindy III didn't get a soundtrack, it's going to be questionable having a movie with music as its focal point without a soundtrack.

Let's not forget that The Fox and the Hound II had a soundtrack (an awful one, but a soundtrack nonetheless). I think it's a safe bet that this film will have a formal release as well, especially with the popularity that surrounds <i>The Little Mermaid</i>.
