It is done in a realistic way, which isn't the style of the film. It would be nice if they modified it with a watercolor image of the sky. But overall, I think it's much better than the previous two DVD releases.

And I'm not at all surprised that the Blu-Ray is going to be 1 disc. The marketing made it sound like a 2-disc DVD and a 1-disc Blu-Ray equivalent, just like The Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm guessing that a lot of the new bonus features are archival footage that they didn't master in HD, so it will be 2-discs worth of content on 1 Blu-Ray disc.

I'm really excited for this.
I agree the characters are very much on model, I find the cover simple yet sophisticated sometimes less is more
I love The Little Mermaid and Ariel

I like the cover! It's simple, yet colorful and attention-grabbing. It reminds me of the VHS cover(s) for this film. I just hope they adjust the characters to look more on-model.

Yeah, the characters are definitely off-model. Looks pretty good, though. :)

I really like this cover art. I think some modification needs to be done on Dumbo's face, but other than that I think it's the best Dumbo cover art we've had in a while.

I also am not surprised by the fact that this is going to be a single disc bluray. I wonder if there will be any bluray specific special features though.

The design of this cover really does feel more like the film, and is definitely better than any cover it has had so far! But, yeah, Dumbo and Timothy are both kind of funky-looking.... especially Dumbo. He looks more like a pig than an elephant....
Well, with a little tweaking, it should be perfect!

My first thought- EWWWWWWW!

But looking at it again- it's not so bad. Not really that bad, I guess.

Guys, you are glossing over the most important part. This is the second MAJOR release in a row missing any sort of shield, box or other object surrounding the logo! Hopefully that trend is finally DEAD. DEAD. (Creating a completely new logo for Oliver and Company was the final straw for me). It made the covers look so ugly.

All we need now is for them go back to using Disney's.

I don't know, personally, I kind of like having the boxes, borders, etc. I don't know why, I just like having words seperate from the images. Ah well, I don't really care enough that it bothers me. It's just a cover. And in the end, it won't effect whether or not I enjoy the delicious film-y center. :D

I love that they are starting to get back to the old school VHS looking covers. Dumbo looks ridiculously off model though, I'm sure that will change by time it's released.

And to whoever said "I guess it's only a one disc Blu-ray" ...keep in mind that this movie is only 1 hour long. There will be PLENTY of space for extras.

It looks nice to me. Dumbo only needs to be tweaked a bit, but it's a good start. A simple cover would be fine; it's really the movie that I would like to have. :)

Maybe it's because Dumbo's not one of my favorites and therefore I'm less picky about anything concerning it, but I really like the cover. Dumbo's face could use some tweaking, but I think overall it's very nice. I agree with those that say this feels like a callback to the Black Diamond and Masterpiece Collection VHS covers where the characters all seemed to occupy the same space instead of existing in separate cliparty sections. I hope this trend continues for future animated classics. A 1-disc BD really isn't a cause for concern considering the film's barely over an hour long. They can fit plenty on there, and as long as the feature itself is presented well, that's all that really matters.

My only complaints about the cover is Dumbo having pink in his ears like your stereotypical Easter bunny and pink on the soles of his feet. Apparently, a main character in its film accurate colors plastered on a film case is a turn off! At least, entirely grey characters. The giant on the The Iron Giant DVD case should have totally been colored gold! :P

Thank you for the picture! The cover looks very nice!
But I suppose these Disney AC movies on Blu aren't always going to have the Combo pack choices.. which I thought was the whole deal with why they had two of the same things of Snow White in different boxes (since it couldn't be they are trying to rip off people!).. basically to allow an easy option for packaging for keeping the collection static and standard.

haha well this is all just very confusing. I need regulated order, even just the packaging differences, in my DVD collection.. which is why i want to know about the different packaging options before I get too far and they change everything on me!

I generally rather like this, especially when compared to the previous DVD covers. And if you think Dumbo looks off model here (which I'll agree with to a point), it's nowhere near as bad as the first VHS cover art. Yuck.

I like it. 1-Disc Blu-ray probably just means lots of standard-def special features, which I can live with. Plus, the film is an hour long. Also, love the No Digital Copy-ness. Haha.

Agreed.. better to have 1 disc Blu-Ray instead of spreading all the stuff out on two discs when it isn't necessary just to call it a two-disc set I think. And yes, the cover art looks genuinely nice!

But when has Disney ever given out digital copies of Animated Classics? XD

When they released the Big Top Edition, they put the movie on iTunes, so they could've easily included a digital copy. Haha
