Watched:
Flyboys my 10th Blu-Ray disc, and this one is superb. Great story and great flying action from World War I, hard to believe that these planes are all CGI, they all look so real.
Open Season - can't help liking this film. It just makes you laugh from the get go.
Cars - for the umpteenth time. I will never get tired of this one. Pixar at their best.

Clerks II
Well, it's not as good as Clerks, nor Mallrats and [obviously] doesn't come close to Chasing Amy. But its probably better than Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
It has some wonderful set pieces, I love the opening, and I loved the ending. It was all rather [and I hate to say this] "sweet" at the end. Elias, the new "clerk" was good too (and well acted).
But something was missing. The script tackled the issue, but something doesn't ring true about Dante and Randal now that they're in their mid-30's. It just doesn't seem right - their career choices (and yes, I know not all people have the luck of choices for their careers) but also the subjects of most of their dialogue.
But... it was still more enjoyable than half of the big budget, special effects driven trash most people are happy with.

Nothing better to do than watch movies at this point of my recovery, so here is what we have watched in the past couple of days:
Guess Who - Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher in a new version of "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". Enjoyable, but not ownable.
Open Season - Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher and some other great voices in one of the funnier animated films from 2006. Next to "Cars" this is probably my favorite, or at least in the top three.
The Parent Trap (1961) - One of the better live-action films the Disney studios came up with. Brian Keith and Hayley Mills, in the dual role of twin sisters, is just as funny today as it was then. Love this movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - decided to watch this along with the second one getting ready for number three.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - With a cast like this how can you miss not having fun. Did notice that if you bought the single disc set of this movie, the disc is still numbered "1" and comes in the same case (minus the second disc) as the 2-disc version. That means if you bought this version and decide later to trade it in and get the 2-disc version, you can't because of the number on the disc. Glad I own both versions, completist that I am.

The Rescuers - Watched it two times in two days, hadn't seen it since I was about 5 years-old. I think it's safe to say that this now one of my favorite movies, Disney or non-Disney. I cried two times, and I never cry during movies.
