Ok guys, here are some new pics I took the other day, hopefully they're better than my last batch lol.
First we'll look at Buzz. Now, I've got the original 1995 Buzz on the left, the "non-CoA" Toy Story Collection Buzz in the middle, and the official Toy Story Collection Buzz with the CoA on the right.

As you can see, the two new Buzzes are pretty much the same at first glance, which was the reason I (foolishly) bought the non-CoA Buzz, I didn't realize there was an even better Buzz lol. Here's a shot showing what they look like from the back:

You'll notice the 1995 Buzz and the non-CoA Buzz have lots of screw holes in their backs but they went all out and made it not like that for the CoA Buzz
. Here's a shot comparing their wingspans:

1995 Buzz's wingspan is rather puny (something I've always hated about that toy even when I was younger lol), both of the new Buzzes have the same wingspan length-wise, but the CoA Buzz outdoes the other in that the wingtips of the CoA Buzz light up like in the movie and they're a bit more translucent like in the movie. Very cool. Now here's a shot comparing their hand articulation:

The 1995 Buzz doesn't have any detailing on his hand. He can move his pointer finger separately, but the other three fingers are attached to each other and move as one piece. The non-CoA Buzz has more detail but all of his fingers are attached and move as one piece. The CoA Buzz's fingers can all move separately. For whatever reason none of their thumbs move
. Now here's just a quick head comparison shot:

(It's just 1995 Buzz and CoA Buzz, I left non-CoA Buzz out of the picture 'cause his head looks the same as CoA Buzz lol). For the last Buzz pic I took a picture comparing their lasers. (Again, no non-CoA Buzz 'cause it's the same as CoA Buzz in terms of appearance, they make two different noises though).

You'll notice that, once again, the CoA-Buzz is more accurate than the 1995 Buzz, with a bigger laser button and a bigger LED light.

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
Now, let's check out Woody. Fortunately I've only got a ~2001 remake of the 1995 original and the CoA version (I didn't impulse-buy a non-CoA Woody like I did with Buzz
).
Just a quick comparison shot, original Woody is on the left and new Woody is on the right:

Here's a comparison head shot:

Now here's a fabric comparison shot, you'll notice that the new Woody has a bit of a darker yellow to his shirt than the original Woody:

Here's a shot comparing the legs:

A head comparison shot without their hats:

Here's a shot comparing both of their hats:

And here's a shot comparing the smaller details of their hats, you'll notice that the new Woody's hat has actual thread interweaving whereas the old Woody's hat was all just plastic:

Now for Rex, again I only have the 1995 one and the CoA one because I didn't impulse-buy the non-CoA version of him either
First a comparison shot. Look how much bigger the new Rex is!!!

Ok now for the Bucket O Soldiers. I've got a few of the 1995 soldiers (I don't know where any others are... or their Bucket
), the non-CoA Bucket (impulse buy before I knew they were making a better one
), and the good CoA Bucket
.
First, the Buckets themselves (non-CoA on the left, CoA on the right):

They look pretty much the same from this angle, but if you turn them to the left you'll notice a difference in the picture on it:

Here's a quick shot of the four original soldiers I was able to find lol:

Here's a shot of all the different soldiers in the non-CoA Bucket:

And here's a shot of all the different soldiers in the CoA Bucket:

Here's a comparison of the 1995 soldiers, the non-CoA soldiers, and the CoA soldiers (they go from left to right in that order):

And here are shots comparing the non-CoA soldiers to the CoA soldiers:

(You'll notice Sarge is a parachute trooper in the non-CoA Bucket
lol)
These four soldiers are only in the non-CoA Bucket, so they don't have any comparisons:

This is a shot of the two different Sarges in the CoA Bucket (I wish there was one of him looking through the binoculars though):

And here's a comparison shot of Sarge from the non-CoA Bucket and Sarge from the CoA Bucket:

And these three soldiers are only in the CoA Bucket and have no comparisons:

And here's a shot re-creating the scene in the first movie right before Andy's Mom steps on one of them

And finally here are some shots of RC and the Aliens and a group shot.
RC's face:

RC's side:

Here's the bottom of RC, you can see the 5th wheel that pops him up when you're playing with him and that's also how he turns too:

And here's RC's backside
:

And of course a pic of his remote (no "Turbo Mode" like in the movie
):

Here are the aliens:

And here's a group shot of all the Toy Story Collection CoA toys:

I'm eagerly anticipating adding Mr. Potato Head, Jessie, and Bullseye to the collection! (You can expect comparison shots of Potato Head and Jessie, but no Bullseye lol).

How do you tell which soldiers in the COA bucket are supposed to be Sarge?
And I still only have a crappy camcorder to take pictures with, but if I get Bullseye before I move in June (no idea if I will), I'll do some comparison pics since I have the best Bullseye they've released so far. He's from the Disney Store and has the textured material and poseable body. I forget if his saddle is hard plastic. Might be an imitation leather material. Don't want to get up and check just now, ha, but I've posted a group pick of my collection previously. If I move though, I won't be taking my old Bullseye with me (or even my C.O.A. toys yet, since I'll be on my sister's couch for a while), and won't be taking my parents camcorder either, I guess (though I should, since I'm the only one who uses it).
I gotta add though, that I still am not convinced Potato Head is in stores yet, for the simple reason that I've only ever seen one up on Ebay (and who knows if that was even legit). The fact that there aren't a bunch on there right now makes me think he's just not in stores yet.

Ive seen 3 different people, not counting the one on ebay have posted (not here necessarily)about buying theirs, how much proof do you need? Ive also read about someone seeing one, but passing it up because 50 was too much. No offense but your just being stubborn. your saying everyone is in on it, faking every picture etc?
Edit: By the way, in my Easter bastket I got a funny little gift from my mom(yes, despite being 22 she still insists on doing one for me). A real potato with the words "go ahead and order Mr. Potato Head" written on it. haha
Of course I cant really do that yet as its not in stock anywhere online yet. but its nice to know I wont have to find a way to get the money to do so later.
So within the next week er so, I should be able to get the aliens, and Mr potato head when he becomes less rare either in local stores or online.

Well, keep in mind that I have NOT seen 3 different people post about buying theirs. I have seen 1 person post a picture of one here and say it is not theirs, that's about it. I have seen only 1 on Ebay in the past week or so, and nowhere have I seen it available to order online. So, basically, I have yet to see ANY proof. I wouldn't call that "just being stubborn". It's not really a big deal, but at the moment I just don't believe they've been in stores for the past week, if only for the simple reason that Ebay should have plenty up by now if they've been out for even more than a day. At least, that's the way it's always worked with anything and everything else I've been watching stores for.Kyle wrote:Ive seen 3 different people, not counting the one on ebay have posted (not here necessarily)about buying theirs, how much proof do you need? F. figures.com's review. I could be wrong but I dont thnk they get toys like this early or for free, they probably had to buy one themselves.

Update on Hamm, kinda. This guy at sideshowcollector.com's forums (seems to be in the know) had this to say.
My understanding was that there was a Hamm but lack of retailer interest killed it. I believe they are still trying to get it out but it may come down to being a non-electronic still bank.
Sounds good to me.
the funny thing about this is that I think most of us will actually benefit from the retailer's initial lack of interest, not wanting to carry an overpriced Hamm could mean a stripped down Hamm as he was intended to be in the first place.
