Yes, or...
It wasn't really collecting when I had them, it was more like "sometimes buying" and having the Disney VHS:s separate from the other movies. I don't know, I collected VHS:s in a way but didn't think about it that much.

We have over 60 Disney Videos.
My mom wanted to collect them on DVD and start collecting the new ones on DVD, but things changed and we frankly don't care of buying Disney DVDs/VHSs anymore.
It's rare if we even buy something NOT disney.
We just don't watch movies anymore unless we're (and by that I mean ME) extremly bored.

Hi:
Just vhs?
jajajaja
man, you guys kill me...
I started since the Beta and Betamax format--and man, that´s old-- And I´m the proud owner of the first original Classics--I mean from Snow White to Jungle Book-- on Beta and also on VHS.
Although, I have almost all the classics now on DVD, I still have my videos

Re: Did you start your Disney collection on vhs?
I did buy quite a number of the Disney Classics on VHS during the first half of the 90s. Not a lot of them left now, though. Of the "classic features" I guess I only have "The Fox and the Hound". I sold some and gave away most of them.purplebluelove99 wrote:Did you start your Disney collection on vhs? List your vhs collection. Are you planning to change over to dvd?
Am I planning to change over to DVD? Well, I did change over to laserdisc and built a nice collection of Disney Classics from 1995 to 1998-99. Except Melody Time I've got the whole line-up from Snow White to Mulan. I've supplemented this collection with DVDs when I find that the DVD edition has something substantial to offer (in quality or extras). I'm not making an effort to complete the classics on DVD. I prefer to buy more movies that I haven't got already.
I have almost all the classics in VHS from Snow White to Hercules in english AND finnish. From that on I started to collect the DVD:s and now I have all the classics in DVD exept Bambi and Cinderella - naturally.
I don't plan to sell my old VHS-tapes; I keep them, they are part of my collection. And who knows, someday they can be valuable and real treasures!

Wow, you have a huge collection with 60 - 70 VHS tapes. It's cool that you have many Disney Movies._tink_ wrote:I have all the vhs tapes from Snow White to Mulan but one. Then about a year to a year and a half ago I started switching to dvd, now I have all but about 6 I think.

orestes.
I have about 15-20 remaining Disney VHS DVDs. I would list them but they are scattered here and there.
VHS is where Is tarted collecting Disney... back in 1991. Around that time I got Peter Pan, The Rescuers Down Under and it grew from there. I was only 10 so we only got a couple a year. My parents never really spoiled so why we got two I knew people whop had them all. It was something to really look forward to.

Started it on Laserdisc. My list of Disney LDs is posted <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... 4">here</a>.
I've continued with NTSC/PAL dvds and look forward to augmenting my collection with the color Blu.
