The original Pink Panther is one of my favorite movies! Why do they need to remake this classic movie! :x

Well the actual Pink Panther only shows up in the credits at the beginning and the end. In the movie, The Pink Panther was a valueable diamond that belonged to the princess of a place that I forgot.

The pink panther shows up in some of the movies as: the diamond is said to have a small defect and when you look closely into it sometimes you can see a pink panther inside.. ZOOM to diamond and <a href="http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Stad ... id">...</a>

The first Pink Panther movie was shot in the Technirama large format negative (2.25).
The rest, in 35mm Panavision (Scope), 2.35 for a Shot in the Dark and Inspector Closeau, 2.40 for the following ones.

As for the cartoons, which came after the first movie, i'd think if shown theatrically they woulda been composed with the Standart Widescreen area in mind. So 4:3 versions of them must be either pan/scaned or open matted showing more image than nescesary top and bottom (or both things at the same time)

Now for the big question. When pinkrenata turns on her home theater, does a splash screen with her sitting pretty in pink shows up with the pink panther theme playing? ;)

as far as I know the cartoons were made in full screen like the looney tunes that Friz Freleng and David H. DePatie also worked on.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Are they having trouble with the story or something? :? I remember hearing that they had to reshoot endings for both The Terminal and The Villiage because they were done "poorly"!

Well even if the film and cartoons arent comeing out soon I still have some news.

The Pink Panther cartoon is now staring in sweet 'n low ads and is on there site http://www.sweetnlow.com/ (and also says "the pink panther coming Feb. 10th")

Also the releases of the panther films as shown in this ad http://www.animated-news.com/archives/00003535.html
are still going to become released on July 26, 2005 which means you will be able to get Curse of the Pink Panther and Son of the Pink Panther
2 of the 4 films not in last years boxed set (you can peroder them on http://www.amazon.com)

also it says that you can get Return of the Pink Panther now but also says "This title usually ships within 3 to 5 weeks. Please note that special order titles occasionally go out of print, or studios run out of stock. We will notify you if we are unable to obtain this title."

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ance&s=dvd

well that all for now and THINK PINK.

Hi

Post by Disney Guru »

All that

"This title usually ships within 3 to 5 weeks. Please note that special order titles occasionally go out of print, or studios run out of stock. We will notify you if we are unable to obtain this title."

Means, is that the product is currently out of stock, and they do not know, if they will get anymore in, or not.

A lot of videos stores do that, including the one that I am part owner of.

Nothing to worry about.

Back on subject, Return of the Pink Panther, has always been one of my personal faves, of the Pink Panther series.

I haven't seen the "Return" but hopefully I can buy it since it's now out. But I don't need the other two! Lame!

My favorite one is The Pink Panther Strikes Again!

"That is not my dog!"

I have the spirit of an alien.
I need to find my own kind.
I must shed off the dreadful human skin.
It is very uncomfortable.
