Mickeymouseboy - I would like to see them too.
Aaron - you own so many bad Whoopi Goldberg movies, why not Jumping Jack Flash, one of the good ones.(And I am not trying to trash Whoopi - she has just chosen a bunch of bad scripts.) On the flip side Color Purple is excellent, Sister Act is very good. Made in America, Soapdish and Corrina, Corrina were decent. She was good in Ghost, although I didnt care for the movie. Patrick Swayze on the other hand is a terrible actor who has made some very good script decisions.

I like this topic.
I collect Disney animated and live action films, Disney waterglobes, Disney picture LP's, Disney beanies, Disney plates. I think that is it for Disney.
My main other collections are candles and candle holders and antiques. The antiques range from furniture sets to small collectibles.

OMG!!!!! "Oh, believe me, the second it's released..." I started to type. The it occured to me that perhaps I should check Amazon for the heck of it. IT'S FINALLY ON DVD!!! Now, I had clicked that little thing that would alert me when it was released, and I check back anyways every few months, and now it's finally out! That will be the next DVD I purchase. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention, I'm so excited now.JimmyJackJunior wrote:Aaron - you own so many bad Whoopi Goldberg movies, why not Jumping Jack Flash, one of the good ones.(And I am not trying to trash Whoopi - she has just chosen a bunch of bad scripts.) Maybe it's just my affinity for Whoopi, but every film I've seen of her's (which is most of them), I've found to be very enjoyable, with the exception of Telephone and In The Gloaming. You also mentioned Soapdish, which is a fairly high priority of mine as well.

Aaron - Jumping Jack Flash was released earlier this Spring. I picked myself up a copy. I am not sure what the Super release is.

Lol, yeah, the treasures are normally kept somwhere else, but I put them there for the picture. I'm going to need a new cupboard soon.
I'm curious How do you all store your DVDs? Anyone have pictures?

Funny you should ask. I have a shelf underneath the cart my TV stands on. It used to house my Nintendos, but I moved them and put my DVDs there. Then I found the greatest thing at Sam's club! It was a box that used to hold Marie Calendar's 2-Minute Meals. It's long and skinny and the DVDs fit in just fine! I just need to find some nice Disney wrapping paper to cover the "Microwaves in Seconds" and "Marie Calendar's" signs.DisneyGirl wrote:I'm curious How do you all store your DVDs? Things I collect:
-Disney animated dvds, and many dvds that I like. A key thing here is that I only buy the best edition of a dvd (that is available so I have many gold collections that I'll get rid of once they get better treatment). And box sets are the best. I have the first 4 seasons of the Simpsons on dvd, Batman TAS Volume 1, and TMNT season 1 as my tv shows, but this will grow rapidly. Oh, and anything TMNT or Batman related sometimes tempts me, but I've gotten much more tame now...
-Comics. I collect primarily Batman... but I have X-Men, Aquaman, and the JLA series. It's funny, the other day I was sorting through some random comics I had as a kid and I found a few Disney ones. The Uncle Scrooge stories were the best.
-I used to collect Magic the Gathering cards, and competed in weekly tournaments until they started charging more money to enter tournaments. I then realized how much I spend on the cards and thought it was rediculous to continue like that and I quit a few years ago, so recently I decided to count my cards. I have over 7,000, and right now and they all are just stored in boxes waiting to be worth tons in years like Remus said.
-Old NES games. It's great that I still have many games let alone my NES still working. This system really revolutionized the gaming world and will be treasured in the years to come. Sentimental value is key too.
-Donald Duck. Easily my favorite character outside of the movies. I collect anything to do with him really.
-Stamps. This may sound boring but it's quite fun and you learn a hell of a lot more than collecting some of these cards. Oh, and Disney stamps came out, so go get them!
-Tintin. The greatest hero of them all. Have all of Herge's books, and the complete set of episodes from the tv show. Even have figures and a mousepad.
-When I was younger I used to collect TY Beanie Babies. Heh, my bro and sis collected at the time as well, so we couldn't get the same one. So we would always have arguments on who would get which beanie. Now they all sit in a basket in my closet.
Yea, so I collect a lot of things (probably leaving out things but whatever). I'll try to get some pictures of my stuff if anyone is interested.

I collect NES and SNES games too. I'm particularly fond of Mario games. I have a PS2 and GC, but I haven't bought any new games in forever, I only own Kingdom Hearts on PS2 and the Mario Games on GC, I'm not much of a game player past Mario and the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom.PrinceAli wrote: -Old NES games. I know the feeling...I have a few Limited Edition DVDs but I don't think I'm going to rebuy them when they're released, except for Lady and the Tramp, that's one of my all-time favorite movies. I'm still thinking about double dipping Mulan and I'd DEFINATELY buy Robin Hood if they released a collector's edition. Other than that, I'm happy with my Limited Edition, Gold and Standard releases.HKR wrote: I don't care if the DVD is special edition, normal edition, platinum edition, 1 disc or 2 discs. I just want the movie and try to get what I can.![]()
I have a list of what movies I have and what edition I have http://www.geocities.com/queenvictoriasue/dvd.html but I don't plan on buying all one type of Edition, but I like knowing what I have.
