It's no problem. I wish Disney would give us a Lady Tremaine doll.
I mean one like the Ursula or Gothel dolls, separate. (I know they have a big box-set of Cinderella deluxe dolls that includes her and the stepsisters, but I'm not willing to shill out 80 bucks to get ONE fricking doll!)
I also wish that, in general, the Disneystore would do more villain dolls.
I love their Ursula doll. And I haven't got their Gothel yet, but I do plan on it.
I want a Jafar. BAD. I want a Gaston. BAD. I want a Frollo, a Hades, a Facilier. A Madame Medusa. The Evil Queen AS A HAG. (They ONLY make dolls of that bitch in her Queen form!) A Queen of Hearts doll. Yzma.
(I'm a dreamer, I know.)
I want a new Shere Khan plush. And a new Ratigan plush. A plush of Foulfellow from Pinocchio. (Has he EVER gotten plushes?)

I took a day trip yesterday to my closest Disney store yesterday (about 45 mins to an hour away) and picked up some villain merch! Including the following:
Disney Villain Figure Set

Disney Villain Tumbler

The Maleficent mug already mentioned earlier in this thread

The Cruella and Wicked Queen Funko POP figures (joining Maleficent and Ursula that I already had)

not exactly from a Disney Merchandise but J Scott Campbell, my biggest influences and is also a big Disney fan made sketch idea of Ariel as Leia while Ursula as Jabba the Hutt.
the two sketches of it on the lower page of the pic.

he done some other Disney art such as:
Maleficent (a bunch of them actually)
Jasmine
Toy Story
Incredibles
etc

Sorry to bump the thread, but I HAD to post these! Disneystore is releasing new villain dolls next year!

The Queen, Maleficent and, my personal favorite, JAFAR! I can't wait for these, personally.

I have seen those. Maleficent looks great but the Evil Queen and Jafar look awkward. Queenie needs a neck and better face sculpt and Jafar's body is too big. I think the Ursula and Mother Gothel dolls that the Disney Store already sell look better than these. Would love to see Dr. Facilier, Cruella and Gaston dolls.

I remember having a rare Applause Frollo who was about 9 inches tall. I played with him and eventually his head came off after 3 years of playing with him. I hope to get a new one someday.
Here's a picture I found of him

I think these images are prototypes and the finalized dolls will be of higher quality and bear more of a resemblance to the characters they're supposed to be. (At least, I hope.)
I'm honestly just so stoked for a Jafar doll that I wouldn't care even if they DIDN'T fix the size issue. He should be scrawny, and
his hat looks a little...meh, but his head/face mold is PERFECT. Look at that beard! And I hope that he and Maleficent come with their respective staffs and pet birds. (Jafar just seems so naked without his staff!)
I honestly think we may yet see a Gaston doll. The recent Fantasyland Tavern seems to be really popular, and I think Disney is taking notice of how much of an online following Gaston really does have.

I have that Frollo! Actually, I have two. One is kept in a box to keep him nice and pristine, the other, which has more wear,
sits on top of my desk next to my magic-view Quasimodo doll from Mattel, and my Scar, Clopin and Gaston Disneystore figurines!
If you're looking for another, keep your eyes peeled on eBay. I see him on there quite a bit! He can be gotten pretty cheap.

yeah I saw one on ebay last week but it sold for $30 which was way too much for me. I did see one sell for $15 but go figure I was broke. I get emailed from ebay on what Frollo items are listed every day. So I've kept my eye out for one.ProfessorRatigan wrote:@disneyboy

I remember getting him after one of my cleft palate surgeries. In the recovery room I told my dad Father, go get Frollo in a droopy drugged calm voice. First Off I have never called my dad "father" so that must have been the anesthesia

I know Applause made a lot of cool figures/dolls in the 90s.
They made sets for Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Hunchback and Hercules I know. I think they made some for Beauty and the Beast, too.
They made toys of Jafar, Scar, Governor Ratcliffe, Frollo... But *I* wanna know if they made a HADES similar to the Ratcliffe and Frollo ones they made.
I know they made Hercules, Megara, Phil, Pain and Panic. I'm not sure about Hades. But the fact that in the past they made every other villain, it makes me wonder.
I search eBay every few days to see if one pops up, but so far, it's been to no avail.
Does anybody who was old enough in the 90s to remember when these things were actually coming out know if Applause made a Hades vinyl doll?
Were the Applause figures sold in the Disneystore, or just in regular retail places like Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, etc.?

Got a chance to visit the Disney Store yesterday and they had those three dolls on sale! They look exactly as they do in the picture posted earlier in this thread. I bought Maleficent (surprise, surprise) and she looks great. As much as I would've liked to buy a Jafar doll, I thought it was too hideous. The costume looked pretty generic, the hat is awful, and the face looks like they sculpted it correctly, then pushed the nose in and stretched out the face. The queen is okay, but the neck thing is distracting and her head is too big and looks like a straight up drag queen. I hope they do sell more villain dolls, but that they look more Maleficent/Gothel/Ursula, and less Jafar/Queen.

I actually have that doll and the collar looks a lot better in person.Sky Syndrome wrote:Disney Duster wrote: They did make a Lady Tremaine doll:

Get rid of that silly pleated collar then she's absolutely perfect!

Other than the arms which need to be bigger he looks good.
Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

Ignoring the cuts in his arms, he looks an awful look like a person cosplaying as Gaston complete with a rubber mask over his whole head. <_<Jay wrote:BUMP

Re: Rare Disney Villain Merchandise:
I was going to post him earlier, but got tied up! Thanks, Jay. I just found out about him this afternoon after seeing him on Tumblr.
I'm excited. (Though, I honestly expected him to show up sooner or later, along with all the other Princess Villains that haven't been done, like Facilier, Shan-Yu and Governor Ratcliffe.) Love the face. The outfit is great. But, man, does he look scrawny! They made the Jafar doll buff and muscular, but make Gaston puny?

I'm really curious about whether or not they'll do any non-Princess villains besides Captain Hook and Cruella (Because those are pretty much guaranteed) like Frollo and Hades. And the Queen of Hearts. I don't think those are TOO crazy or too far-out. Disney must know these characters are popular. They could honestly do a whole line-up of Villains to rival the Princesses. Wouldn't THAT be a dream come true? Sigh...
