I saw a new Jessie Doll in Toys R Us and she was packaged in a box which looked like the inferior of the Woody dolls. I hope when the one that's supposed to be the best comes out, she has YARN for hair!
I also have a Woody doll I bought 4 years ago and it looks nothing like the original.

Most of Mattel's stuff (maybe the company behind that Woody pictured above?) usually make me die a little inside. its embarrassing a lot of times just how inaccurate they can be. Im all for sacrificing accuracy if it helps them stand out from the rest, like by having more articulation, or heavily stylised designs, even though their not my cup of tea, but more often than not the stuff they put out are hack jobs.
Thanks for posting the pics, guys! Very impressive toys! So the accurate Army Men bucket is out there now? Does it have a COA too, and if not, how can you recognize it as the accurate one?
Well, I just hope this stuff isn't sky high on Ebay by the time I can get some of it! I very much want them all now! I might get Slinky Dog and Rex sooner rather than later. Then again, I have no room for them right now (if only I could sell off a little more old stuff). I'm amazed at the differences between new and old Woody in particular! However, I like that my original Woody can be posed and stand on his own. The Lenny in one of those pics is the one I have too and is posed with my original Buzz and Woody and 4 green army Men that I also got from BK. I notice your original Buzz doesn't have his plastic helmet? And don't ya just want to cut the pull string off of Slinky Dog? I think I might do so when I finally get him.
I wonder if they will ever make the Bo-Peep lamp or Hamm with COAs.
Oh, and I like those Gremlin toys too, ha. I have the Gizmo Furby, but I think he finally did that thing where his nose fell out of whack (like ones I would see in stores over time), and I have some of the original figs, but now I'm ready to chuck it all and just get that dancing/humming Gizmo doll that is out there. I think he looks the best. Really going for accuracy these days, but don't know what to do with my old stuff, ha. Is there a good place to sell toys and stuff online without a credit card or fees? If anyone knows, I'd love to find out.
Oh, two other Toy Story toys I won't be getting rid of (though I had all the kids meal toys for a long time, and they did Toy Story a lot it seems), and probably not my original Buzz and Woody either, are my Christmas Buzz and Woody. Those are very cool together as holiday decorations! Anyone else collect those two?

Haha yeah, back in the days when I actually used to PLAY with my toys... Buzz's helmet got all scratched so I just took it off... ironically that made it more accurate to Toy Story 2 since he had his helmet off most of the time lol.
So do we have any details on the Toy Story Collection Mr. Potato Head? Like what kind of features it'll have or anything? Most importantly I think it'd be great if he had separate eyes, just like in the movie!
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
Getting more psyched about these. They're pricey though, and I have so little room right now... But I really think I'll have to start getting them already, a piece at a time, ha! So great that Hamm is coming out. Have any of these turned out to be inferior to older releases, like maybe Potato Head? I know he's been done a lot since the movies came out. I wonder if they will make a Bullseye to top the old Disney Store one that I have. it's pretty impressive, though could be even better.
so far, not that I know of. I have heard that there was a more accurate version of the aliens in that they made it a real squeak toy, but it wasnt in scale or something like that. Ive never seen it myself, but I have no clue what it even looks like.
but no doubt potatohead looks far more accurate than any of the others.
seriously, the 1995 one is horrible.
Really its impossible to make infierer versions, since they are using the digital data to produce these. Their essentially eliminating the sculpting process by allowing digital printers (I can only assume) to do a lot of the work for them.
My CoA Woody doll came by UPS today and here is my opinion.
First, it was MUCH easier to get out of the box (Which is pretty cool looking BTW) than the Buzz Lightyear doll (and yes, I am keeping the box for Woody) and it looks and sounds really good (even though it's obivously not Tom Hanks).
One of my few complaints is the stand for Woody. It feels kind of cheap and looks like it might break easily. I was also kind of disappointed to see the CoA bent slightly (making it harder to display). I also think it's kind of a pain they put the switch in a hard-to-reach place.
Other than that, I am satisfied with Woody and I currently have him on display next to Buzz Lightyear. I might get the Bucket O Soldiers if there are any left Saturday at Target.

I have a similar problem. I lost part of the helmet to my metallaic Buzz Lightyear from 1995 a long time ago. It still works okay (though the wings do not pop out anymore and the communicator on his wrist is broken).
