DEAR DISNEY EXECUTIVES,
Do you see the Sleeping Beauty Steel Book above??????????? This is EXACTLY the design and presentation I want to see given to each and every Full Length Disney Animated feature. I LOVE the how it looks like a storybook!! Please get on the ball and release a special collection like this ASAP. Releasing them in order of release would be appreciated as well. PLEASE  and thank you
Actually, here in Holland, the cover used for the Sleeping Beauty steelbook WAS the cover of a SB gift set. It included a book and the platinum edition. The cover was meant to look like a book.

I have it, it looked like this, and was a store exclusive:

Um, I agree, the "Sleeping Beauty" steel book design was AMAZING! I am currently working on custom DVD covers form my Disney films and I think they just gave me the best idea yet on where to take the designs!

Is there anyway you or maybe someone else can get a scan of that cover? I'd really like to base my own custom DVD covers on that cover!

Great news! It would be awesome if Best Buy started doing Steelbook preorders for all of the big Disney releases.

goofystitch wrote:While the Sleeping Beauty one looks great, I'm holding out for the big book set that DMC is releasing next month. They had it on display at the D23 Expo. I wish I had a picture, but it was like the Sword in the Stone gift set they did, where it looks like the book from the film and holds the DVD and a commemorative book.
Oh nice a SLEEPING BEAUTY gift set from DMC. Seems like a strange time to put it out though (well after the release date and the same time as Snow White?) But maybe it will not be a Featured title.

I wonder if that will be Blu ray Combo set.

Any idea on the release date and were there any other sneek peeks for DMC releases?

On another note, the empty UP steelbook will be available at Best Buy on 10/11 as a presale offer, just as the Snow White Steelbook was issued.

I don't think it will be a featured title, but I'm expecting it to be released on October 20th. That is the day the featured title switches to Snow White and DMC is also releasing Ten Who Dared as a DMC Exclusive that day. Since the lady told me "next month" and it is now October, I see no reason why it shouldn't be there then.

I'm assuming they will do it like Sword in the Stone and have it with the DVD release, but you never know. I'm thinking this one will be done in more limited quantities than Sword in the Stone was (since those are still available). Sleeping Beauty is being vaulted in January, so they only have about a 3 month window to sell this thing.

I know that the UP case is designed to hold 4 discs, but that looks HUGE! The Snow White one held three discs, so it should have been easy to hold 4 and maintain that same size.
