I'm contemplating presenting this year's awards in audio form. Might even ask for submissions of recorded speech presentations from you guys. Let me know what you think. Haven't decided yet.

I don't have record-to-computer capabilities, so I'd have to send regular ole text and have you read it. Granted...you'd probably have to do voices as I might want to include Whoopi Goldberg again (or maybe cleverly make a presentation speech using words/phrases she said in her movies...but that would be too much work for Aaron).

I think I'd rather just read them, too. I mean, technical problems can happen, and you can read at your own pace, like, if you're distracted, you can always just come back to reading, versus having to rewind audio. Just my $0.02.

That sounds awesome!

While I'd love to try out my Whoopi G impression, I think I'll forego the audio presentation this year and stick with text per usual.

The nominating period has ended and no further submissions will be accepted. Submissions are being tabulated and the final nominees will be posted in a separate thread as soon as possible. I expect to post the nominees in the next day or two.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to devote some thought and even research to these. While it would be nice if more of the people who interact with this forum on a regular basis would participate, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of submissions submitted. Again, thank you!

Initially I was confused...cause I thought the nominations were extended until June 19.

Then I realized that next Wednesday is the 17th, so the June 19 must have been a typo.

Anyway, can I call early dibs on writing the presentation speeches for Avatar of the Year and the featuring-an-appearance-by-Whoopi-Goldberg Member of the Year?
