The only two I've seen so far have been in the Sears ad.

300 - $19.99
National Treasure 2 - $18.99

I think the sales are just going to be spread out more because of the econmy. I do agree that so far Black Friday isn't that great this year. The best things I've seen so far are 2 Blu-ray players, and a XBox 360 Arcade for $199 with a free 20GB hard drive and a 2nd wireless controller. TV prices are not that great so far. However from a lot of things I've read 2009 should see a pretty good decrease in HDTV prices.

Anyway I can't find the link right now. It might have been removed. However in the Wal-Mart ad they have a Magnavox Blu-ray player for $128. Cheapest I've seen on a player so far.

That's what it looks like. Its a Profile 1.1 player, and got decent reviews when it was released over the summer for $300.

Disney Store locations nationwide will usher in the holiday season earlier than ever with day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) specials starting as early as midnight in more than 100 of its more than 200 stores. In malls across the country, most other Disney Store locations will kick off Black Friday shopping with 5 a.m. openings. All stores will offer an additional 20 percent off almost everything*, including already low one-day only pricing, from opening hours until 10 a.m.

The article has a list of items that will be on sale (with their original retail prices listed, not the sale prices), but it seems that, as the above paragraph says, almost everything will be on sale.

You would think that with the economy in a bad shape people would decide to slow down on Holiday shopping...

Around here, Thanksgiving Day has barely ended and people are already lining up outside Wal-Marts, K-Marts, Toys R Us, Targets, Best Buys and many stores offering Black Friday deals!

Puerto Rico has been suffering a declining economy since 2006 when the Government officially declared bankruptcy and closed down its doors, leaving many government employees on the street. The only solution to this was a small IVU tax implemented to all sales. But it just got worse from there, with an additional municipal tax added alongside the 7% the IVU tax demands, making daily living a hassle thanks to the elevated prices of gas, milk, power, phone and taxes.

But again, despite all of this people are more than willing to spend thousands.

Its definitely therapy. People just love to shop around here. I admit that there's something fun about spending money like a maniac, even if you regret it days later.

How's the situation in the mainland, fellas?

They interviewed a guy on the news tonight at 11 that has been in line since 7 am Thursday morning at Best Buy (he wanted some laptop that Best Buy is going to have for sale). The line on the news looked pretty long too.

Crazy...

A lot of these deals are also going to be online, although the TV and computer deals seem to be store only.

Even the $128 Blu-ray player at Wal-Mart is going to be offered online according to their site. I'm real tempted by this, but with the Sony 350 dropping under $200 on some sites I'm not sure.
