When will members remember to make "None of the Above" an option?

Because it doesn't make sense to have that option in this case.

I love all three but if I had to choose I'd pick Sleeping Beauty. Cinderella is a close second.

Mine is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It's my favorite DAC and I think my favorite movie of all time.

I also think Walt Disney was particularly proud of it. I read somewhere that he felt his other animated films weren't as good as Snow White. I think he put a lot of soul and effort in the production, and you can tell it was his favorite story, since he picked it as his first animated film.

Sleeping Beauty is a close second, as it's very similar to Snow White, but its art style is gorgeous. Plus, you can't go wrong with Tchaikovsky.

Wow, this thread is a decade old. I still agree with my ranking then even if not completely with my listed reasons (or at least their wording). I prefer Cinderella's characters, story, and design over the other two. When it comes to music, SB does beat it handily, but I do love Ilene Woods' voice, "Sing, Sweet Nightingale," "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo," and the score. The film has several great deleted songs, too.

The other films have a couple characters I like each (Merryweather, Maleficent, Fauna, Snow White, the Peddler-Woman), but not really my favorite films on that score. The Dwarfs are much more annoying than the mice. Of the Good Fairies, Flora is the only one that gets on my nerves, but she gives Merryweather something to react to. Cinderella has the best protagonist and villain of the three, imo. Lady Tremaine is easily my second favorite Disney villain. I do like Maleficent, too, and I understand why she's generally more popular. I know they're barely distinguishable from one another, but I prefer The Prince over Charming and Phillip. I have never liked Prince Charming's design, mostly the hair/face.

I'd say the animation is probably the best in Snow White? I don't know enough to say. They all have great animation, but that film has an even greater attention to detail than most Walt films. Cinderella seems almost rotoscoped at times, but the characters and their clothes at least aren't stiff and unappealing (unlike, say, Anastasia) I prefer the Mary Blair design over SB and SW.

I change my opinion now. I say Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is Walt Disney's best fairy tale film, and is the one he is most proud of, though I believe Cinderella is the one he most liked. Cinderella was his favorite heroine and the film contains his favorite piece of animation.

Snow White has the 2nd best animation after Sleeping Beauty, at least as far as detail goes. Snow White actually is a great portagonist. She's memorable, isn't she? You feel for her. And the Queen is a thrilling and scary villain. The dwarfs are funny. All the songs are better than the ones in the other two films. And best of all Snow White and the dwarfs have a fantastic bond, you really feel sad when Snow White dies and when the dwarfs cry, and you feel so great when Snow White wakes up. So, I say it's the best.

I would rank Walt Disney's fims as 1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 2. Pinocchio, 3. Bambi, and then 4. Cinderella, 5. Dumbo, and 6. Sleeping Beauty.

I agree with everything you said. And I'm so happy you like Snow White as a character. It's very nice to hear people still like her, too. And yes, her relationship with the dwarfs is indeed fantastic, that's what I always thought. Loved how she was like mother figure to them. Your ranking of Walt's films is kinda similar to mine, but I also add Fantasia. Mine would be Snow White, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Bambi, Dumbo. I never cared for the package films, and titles like Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and Lady and the Tramp are great films, in my opinion, but they don't stand out as the ones I mentioned earlier.

I'm so glad we agree on so much! I like your ranking. And yes, Snow White, though not a top favorite princess of mine, is really a character I love. She's so sweet, kind, caring, and she takes some charge of her fate and the house she lives in!

I'm not sure tbh. I personally like SB the most, although that's an unpopular opinion bc most people don't like the two leads.

If for historical records, i'd say Cinderella, since it basically saved the studio, and even Walt seemed to have a soft spot towards it. But then again, Snow White also changed everything.

For me, SB > Cinderella > Snow White (i like the animation of SW but the pacing and comic relief sidekicks are dull).

Snow White - Animation, Atmosphere, and music
Cinderella - A good lead, good supporting characters, nice pacing.
SB - Setting, atmosphere, designs, music, and an awesome climax
