Personally, I like the new direction that they are going with the covers.

Wow, it is a nice little remake.Mason_Ireton wrote:Okay we got a sample from DM 6,

this is a interesting remake and quite fun actualy.
I don't like some small changes and not changing others but over all it's pretty darn good.Mason_Ireton wrote:Okay we got a sample from DM 6,

I agree that most of 'em sound really good but I must say that I think that Billy Ray's Real Gone is better than the original and may be the best track on the album.blackcauldron85 wrote:Samples of the DM6 songs are here:

Most of the songs sound really good! I'm not a big Colbie Cailait fan, and Billy Ray's version isn't as good as the original, but all in all, it's better than the last 2 Disneymanias. I'm excited!

Thanks for posting that link! I'm not feeling Davy Crockett in Space (what, are historical legends not cool enough anymore? You must put them in space?), "I Wan'na Be Like You", or "The Bare Necessities", but the rest of the songs sound surprisingly awesome!!! "Let's Go Fly A Kite" by Mickey & Goofy has to be my favorite- if only you could see my big smile when I heard that one!!! "Coconut solo!"- lol! the Ooh & Aah "You've Got a Friend In Me" also made me smile- I believe those are the 2 monkeys who host Playhouse Disney. I might be getting this!JiminyCrick91 wrote:
Also... anybody think about geting this one? http://disneymusic.disney.go.com/albums ... party.html
It looks like a pre-school Disneymaina with people like the Wiggles & Doodlebops but there are also people like They Might Be Giants & Wayne Brady. Also most of the clips sound surprisingly good.
I may have to get that album but even if I don't They Might Be Giants' "Ballad of Davy Crockett (In Outer Space)" will be a must on iTunes at least.

I think that Davy was way more They Might Be Giants (or at least there old stuff that was not about numbers and letters) in the way that they want to be catchy and funny.blackcauldron85 wrote: Thanks for posting that link! Oh man, this is pretty adorable! It's odd that all these Disney cover CDs are coming out all of a sudden, but I love it! I can't wait to get Disneymania 6 and the Kerry Butler CD. The samples are cute from what I heard, but I don't know if I would purchase the CD. The style is too preschool for my taste, but I guess that's what it was meant to be.JiminyCrick91 wrote:Also... anybody think about geting this one? http://disneymusic.disney.go.com/albums ... party.html

I need to look into the Kerry Butler CD- I haven't listened to song clips yet. I either have and can't find and need to rebuy or have somewhere a CD called "O Mickey, Where Art Thou?", which is bluegrass artists performing Disney songs. I don't like bluegrass music, but we bought it on sale at the Disney Store years ago, and it's actually good.Kram Nebuer wrote: It's odd that all these Disney cover CDs are coming out all of a sudden, but I love it!
