Did anyone catch the 90 sec. (I think) spot during American Idol? There was some stuff in there that I haven't seen that might have been new (but then I haven't been scarfing up every last morsel of Ratatouille :D ).

Unfortunately I didn't think to switch to Fox HD OTA until it was almost over but what I saw looked pretty good.

That would be a rather big thing since we know really next to nothing about WALL-E. There will also most certainly be a new Pixar short! Wow, I am not sure what part of these (trailer? short? movie?) I am most excited about ;)

Now that you mention it (short) it looks like Lifted is the short for Rat.

Well what we know isn't really coming from official sources, is it? Not to discredit Jim Hill but still.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to view the 9 minute clip from Europe, but the trailer looks so good. It's been a long time since I looked forward to a movie this much. Remy is so adorable--and I love Paris and love cooking, so this looks fun. I have to admit, though, those Remy plushies really don't do him justice...

I saw the 10 minute preview on Youtube. It looks really good and it might even be better than last year's Cars.

Well, I'll say this right now: No Pixar movie will ever live up to Toy Story... I think it's mostly a nostalgia thing but I love that movie sooo much (Heck, "To infinity and beyond!" was my senior quote  )

From what I've seen, Ratatouille looks good but not amazing. I'm sure it WILL be good because so far all the Pixar movies have been great. I'd put Toy Story at the top and Finding Nemo at the bottom, and the rest are in the middle. I love love LOVED Cars a lot so I'm not sure if Ratatouille will live up to that one either, but we'll see.

And is it coming out THIS summer? If it is that makes 2007 simply one of the best years for movies in a loong time.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I'm so excited for Ratatouille. I think Pixar's stuff is always fantastic, but this looks especially beautiful. I am just blown away by how amazing the animation is. You can see the individual hairs moving on Remy's body, even! I'm so impressed.

Have you guys been watching the video podcasts - like this one? I've been really liking them, they are totally getting me in the mood for the movie!

As silly as this sounds...

I for one am very happy a rat is the main character and good guy in a movie. Few movies have made rats the good guys. And even when they are, they aren't the main character. Working at a pet shop, I handle rats on a daily basis. And that time spent with them, I have seen what absolutely fantastic pets they make. I hope the movie gives a boom to them being kept as pets more than snake food.

you say that as if cars would be hard to top. it was a good movie, but the worst of Pixar's movies. Ratatoulle looks way more fun.

Just in case there are some that are interested:

Soundtrack cover:
Image

Here is the soundtrack listing I found (not from Amazon):
1. Le Festin
2. Welcome To Gusteau's
3. I'm A Rat
4. Remy's Secret Life
5. Granny Get Your Gun
6. 100 Rat Dash
7. Wall Rat
8. Power Kitchen
9. He's Ruining The Soup
10. Souped Up
11. New Friends
12. Remy Drives A Linguini
13. Breakfast Is Served
14. Ropes A La Colette
15. Special Order
16. Kumpania
17. Losing Control
18. Paper Chase, The
19. Stealing For The Family
20. Remy's Revenge
21. Remy Breaks Out
22. Abandoning Ship
23. Dinner Rush
24. Anyone Can Cook
25. End Creditouilles
26. Rat Main Theme (From Suite)

I'm kind of disappointed they didn't include the song they used for the trailer. And I hope "I'm A Rat" is a score and NOT a song Remy sings.

That Soundtrack cover is cool!!! I wish this was a poster as well. It's so simple, but yet with style. And you can never go wrong with the Tour d'Eiffel.

Usually if there is singing in the soundtrack its listed as "Songs and Music By...."....but being only music is listed, its probably just score.
