Well this is pretty damn hard! I think Tangela should add a last option, a tie option, because it ruely is just too close a tie between three for me, and I don't think I'm the only one to feel this way, the three I most anticpate are:

Aladdin
Cinderella
The Little Mermaid

(I did not neccesarily rank by preference, but rather, by the order in which they are scheduled to come out) Here are my reasons for each:

Aladdin has got to be my favorite Disney movie right up there with SB, I can still remember the day it came out on video, it was that momentous an occasion in my life! October 13th, 1993...
Anyway, in addition to being a great film and one of my faves I am extremely pissed that it got pushed back a year in favour of The Lion King...
Also after getting my The Music Behind the Magic boxset I am incredibly siked at all the possible material they could have on this movie, I mean there was a whole other story that was being done, before it was scrapped and redone, and the redone again to make Aladdin older...
I really really hope they do magic with this platinum and I am not thinking of the Lion King platinum cause I think that that was just a fluke, I don't think they had enough solid material and all as they did with SW or BATB, nothing against the movie itself, but the fairytales are more than likely to get the best platinums...
Oh and they better have a boxset for this, cause I bought the TLK boxset only cause I wanted ones for Aladdin and Mermaid, and wanted the whole collection...

Cinderella, as stated before, and I won't relist all the reasons, promosies to be one of the if not the best platinum to date, when it comes out, and while it might not be my fave, everytime I see it, it secures a special place deeper into my heart... I don't think it's the movie itself that is so special but rather the messages and deeper story that you discover a little more about each time you see it, i don't think what I'm trying to say is coming out too clear, but hopefully you still get it...
Also like Aladdin there are many abanded songs and such and I can't way to learn more about them!!! Can't wait for this one!!!

Next to Aladdin this is another of my faves, it is 3rd at the top of my list. I am kinda content for now, with my LE, but I can't wait to have the restored movie, with pumped up stereo track, and all the wonderful extras, and I'm also awaiting the new song to be added, with Alan Menken over seeing it I'm sure it will be great, if it comes to pass, which I hope it does, love this movie will get the boxset set that has to come out, or else!, and I really hope it comes out in 2005 with Cinderella, but i have the feeling we can expect it October 2006.

On a final note, this is not the schedule I would like, but rather the ones that is seeming the most likely to happen at this point...

Fall 2004 - Aladdin
Spring 2005 - Bambi
Fall 2005 - Cinderella
Spring 2006 - Jungle Book
Fall 2006 - The Little Mermaid

now according to the old schedule 101 D was suppose to be last, and that's fine by me, but Lady and the Tramp is IMO the better of the 2, and a perfect movie for the X-mas season, so with a heavy heart I conclude the list with...

Spring 2007 - 101 Dalmatians
Fall 2007 - Lady and the Tramp

and ironically enough all the Fall releases are the ones I can't wait for while the spring ones are the ones I definatley can!

I will wait to vote incase Tangela does add the oiption I brought up above but if hew doesn't this is the order in which i rank them:

Aladdin
Cinderella
Mermaid
Lady/Tramp
Bambi
Jungle Book
101 Dalmatians
Defy Gravity

Just wondering, what makes you think Mermaid will come out in 2006 instead of in 2005? I thought Mermaid was going to come out before Bambi. Like the UltimateDisney FAQ says http://ultimatedisney.com/FAQ.htm
 This will be very disapointing if what you said is true...I was eagerly anticipating the release of Mermaid to be right after I graduate High School (fall 2005)

I think the little mermaid isn't coming out until 2006 because disney is planning to release it in IMAX format in 2005, I'm not sure when, but they might scrap that idea if Aladdin doesn't do so well in IMAX. Everything that I have read saysthat when they were only doing 1 platinum per year, that Bambi was suppose to be fall of 2005 and Cinderella fall of 2006 and little mermaid fall 2007. So, at least you get the little mermaid dvd 1 year earlier :) I have to still wait until october for Aladdin, which is what I would have had to wait to start out with

By the way, nice avatar. I think I liked your old one better, just because it showed ariel's pretty smile up close :)

I think "The Jungle Book" should be the last one. After all, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was the one that started it all, and TJB was the one that ended it all (the animated films supervised by Walt, of course).

Aladdin for me too!! It's a treasure of the Disney masterpiece. I hope they offer spectacular coverart and a gorgeous set of bonuses. I also want a re-release of the soundtrack, with SE artwork etc.

I want a beautiful single matted litho, over the four set in a portfolio. 10/5 can't come fast enough for me either. :D

Well..... I don't want to sound conceded or anything.....but my vote is for

ALADDIN :D

Cinderella is a close 2nd.... all the others I could wait for as I have the original (bare bones) LI copies . Although it will be cool to compare the digital enhancements to the limited issues, and of course the extras that wil be included with the platinums.
Love watching my "babies" on my wide-screen :)

I don't KNOW!!! There all so good. i'm waiting for The Little Mermaid because it's my all time favorite movie and I want it on DVD, but Cinderella is right behind it followed by Aladdin and 101 Dalmations. I always lovee the endings to Aladdin and The Little Mermaid, the villains get all-mighty and powerful. Ursula rulz! 8)

I have to say Cinderella. I probably would rank Aladdin over Cindy movie-wise, but I just know the extras for Aladdin are going to be the farts. Cinderella will probably be more along the lines of what Snow White & Sleeping Beauty DVDs were.

I've never seen Bambi or Jungle Book so I definitely want to check those out before buying them. A lot of people put JB on thier top 10 lists.

How'd the Rescuers get on the Platinum List. I thought it was Snow White, beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Bambi, The Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia and Peter Pan. Just wondering...

It isn't on the platinum list. It's probably not even going to be on a "Masterpiece" or "Special Edition" list either.

It got a Special Edition DVD a while ago. A pathetic one-disk that was completely empty of anything but the movie, but a Special Edition. I didn't buy it, I figured that in a few years or so they'll have a 2-disk set that has even better picture and color so I'm waiting. I'm doing the same with the peter Pan and Oliver and Company Special Edition 1-disk sets.

The Little Mermaid (so I can get the DVD for my sister and show that Disney's never too old for anyone...she loved TLM as a child, but these days she's more into Japanimation--she says it's superior to American animation. :x  Boo to that! Boo boo boo!)

Then Cinderella.

The Rescuers was not designated a "Special Edition", but it could have been in the "Oliver & Company" sense of the term that isn't really a Special Edition at all, I guess.
